Was regulating a .350 magnum Rigby today. It’s a renovate back to original so I fitted a new set of express sights as thing was butchered . Had to cut the “V” so I bore sighted it and filed out the v in the rear sight. Checked the bore sighting again. Fired it and was only 2 inches out in elevation. Refiled and bang on it was. Can’t beat old school.

Well done, regulating barrrels is one the hardest jobs in gunmaking, many guns are sold ex factory with poorly regulated barrels. Can shot gun barrels be regulated the same way? I have read the barrels need 2 wedges along the barrels to aid regulating, correct?

Thanks. I'm not sure if they use two wedges in shotguns or not. I know they hone the barrels after shooting at a pattern board and count how many hole inside a certain size circle. Holland and Holland has a nice video on it as well as regulating double rifles. If I find it, I'll send you the link. Thanks for watching.

Hello, just found your video. I have the 30-06 and 45-70 and would love to permanently regulate my 45-70. Just curious. Have you tried working on the triggers?

Could you make a video on the tool you made to regulate this rifle. I have the 30/06 version and would like to permanently regulate it as well, i don't think the jack screw design holds a good zero over time. Cant aford a really nice double so anything i can do to improve on this one is a pluss.

I made a video on the first jig I had made. But I changed the length of the side rails. I'll do a new video on it and post it for you. Thanks for watching!

Lance…need to know how you removed the barrel band at end of barrel on the Baikal mp221. Is it silver soldered ??

It should have 2 screws.

I guess I must have been lucky with mine, one inch groups each barrel and two inches apart

@@Medj-Head Those loads exceed the max psi for it. I tried them once and realized it after.

... made the mistake of shooting 430 grain HSM "Bear Load" ammo from my Baikal 45-70 double rifle ... a mistake I won't make again ... the blue bruise on my shoulder took about a month to disappear ... neither the shooter nor the target should suffer when you fire a rifle ... I sold it not long after

Eihän baikalille tarvii tehä mitään tollasta siinä on säätiö ruuvi ite käyttänyt samaa asetta 4 vuotta ja kohdistanut useille latauksille ilman mitään ongelmia. Voihan sen piipun vääntää vaikka solmuun jos haluaa😂

This gun was screwed from the factory. Couldn't hit anything with it within a foot. Tried multiple loads. So I build it even better than what it was.
