Bailey Built S1E12 Front Suspention Assembly

In this video I install the complete Porter Built Fabrication front drop member extreme. This is a complete front suspension for my 75 Chevy C-10. I cover the installation, bushings, zero fittings and I describe a few issues I had with this kit at the end of this video.

The powder coating is the reason you had such a hard time with the lower control arms.

Hey Ian, What bolt did you use for your lower shock mount? I"ve looked through all my PBFAB stuff, and don't see anything for it. Also, intstructions on the shock install was NIL.... Also, how'd you drill out your spindles for the steering link? FYI, I talked to Nate, @ Porterbuilt, he said any synthetic grease (not necessarily the teflon) would be fine, for the Delrin bushings. thanks for the help!

The bolts for the front shocks where included with my kit and did not purchase them seperately. Drop spindles where included with the PBFAB however the CPP front disc brakes where shipped with drop spindles which I used. I did drill them out per the instructions.

When I drilled out the spindles I used drill bits slowly stepping up in size until I achieved the size to fit the steering linkage bolt.

For all of the bushings (lower hag mount and upper A arm) I used Lucas red and tacky grease to lubercate and install the bushings. I then used that same grease with a grease gun to fill the zirc fittings after the installation. Hope this helps. 707-332-0736 is my direct number if you need more help.

@@baileybuilt6686 Thanks again, I also used a 9/16" then the 5/8" bit, I"d rather have used a reamer, but they cost about $100, so drilled her out! Also, finally found my lower shock mount bolts, the bag had come open, so some items were scattered, plus I've had my kit for a couple years, just getting around to install on my 66 C10. Your channel has really inspired me to get after it! I really am glad you've done such a great job documenting your build, it really helps!!!! Thanks
