Bait comb removal and checking up on our swarm

On a very wet and unseasonably cold day, we had to remove all the bait combs that were put in 11 days ago. With all the cells now capped, we are hopeful that we have captured most of the varroa in the colonies. The bait combs can now be frozen for 24 hours before returning them to the hives for the bees to clean out and re-use.
With the awful weather, the swarm hive would not have survived had we not given them a frame of honey to keep them alive.
