great job guys...real life situations show how a device will opperate...the height thing convinced me to go with Rule pumps...thanks

how long does the battery AGM 12V run for a long time? What is the maximum current when the pump is running in water?
@1974topwop6 жыл бұрын
Great comparison! Why not hook them up to a voltometer to see if they're using the same amount of power? It could explain the difference in performance.

Thank you guys. Very helpful. Works great as a comparison between pumps. However not as a absolute test of gph at zero head. You only pumped out about 4 gallons. So for the new rule that is around 354 gal/min. Then the others are worse. Just divide the gpm in the table at the end by 4/5 to get a more accurate value.

Great observation and very true. The test was definitely done by hillbilly standards. :D
@brianmacker12884 жыл бұрын
@@stripersoup5546 No problem. Plus 5 gallon buckets hold a bit more than 5 gallons. Next time use two buckets. One empty you have marked to exact 4 gallon level. Then time how long to fill to that line using pump to empty another bucket. More precise.

That new Rule 360 seems gtg...even with the redesigned output.

There is a table at the end. The new rule won.

I have tested one of these pumps for the last month, 8 hours a day on a solar panel, it leaked in less than a month. the seals for the power cables and the seal for the impeller drive shaft are woefully inadequate for salt conditions. not worth buying. look for a brushless option with no direct drive.

You posted this same exact comment on a completely different video on completely different pumps ya fucking twat.

Hey great test and I'm sure everything is legit, but with the video editing breaks there can be a lot of speculation as to altering the results. But I'm sure the video would've been a lot longer as well.
@seeinstripes5 жыл бұрын
Why would they alter the results? There is no brand affiliation here. Just take it for what it's worth or do your own tests at home..

Totally unfair test unless you recharge the battery in between.

Recharge a 120 Ah battery between short runs of a very low draw motor? This is field testing, not highly controlled lab-style experimentation. Take it for what it's worth.

How do you know it wasn't recharged?

What you see here is the reason I would not install a venture of any kind in my bait tank ,, reduced water flow is just fine for small herring but for big gizzard shad it is terrible, the faster a tank will filter water the better for gizzard shad. Also I like to use all kinds of fish for bait , in May I have more bream in my tank than anything, in April I have more alewives and threadfin than anything else , the rest of the year it’s all of the above but mostly gizzard shad ,, so I choose to keep my tank most suitable for gizzard shad. Ohh and I have been a guide for over twenty years,,, also a tsunami by Atwood is the longest lasting pump in a tank once you add the proper amount of salt ,,the 500 size is perfect for most tanks. I have found that some pumps last and preform well without any salt in the water like rule , but once you add the prescribed amount of salt to that water ,,, one ounce per gallon, they just don’t last very long.
