Dude you just save me some money and confusion because I went to the dealer ( respectable dealer) and they was even confused on just a simple plug and play so they finally put together a kit but it was almost $200 and then I went home and looked at it and the instructions were of no help, and still didn't discuss what to do after I put in the switch in bank 1 . I saw this video and returned my parts and ordered your list and now have a video to go off of. Thank you so so much!

@@tx_reds2426 I did not , sometimes canbus systems are too smart for their own good . It might be sensitive to the interruption in signal and go always after a few starts .

No problem I’m very happy with the setup . Only con is that with the oem wiring if you hit the high beams the auxiliary lights shut off. However you can have the dealer fix that with a flash.

@@bigman7447 it was a simple two wire setup. I used the entire Harley harness only changing the end to the Baja Designs male plugs.

I like that you incorporated the aux switches that are just "placeholders" on the panel. One stupid question though....why did you need the male Baja plugs that you purchased separately> Couldn't you have just cut them off the Baha harness where the plug into the female part of the connector on the light side?

Great set up on the Baja lights. I have the lights & now you just helped me figure out the hardest part, the electrical. I’m wondering if I can use these in place of front blinkers. They’ll run constant & signal when needed, im hoping…

@@3_AM hi, I did more research after the video. The switch you used seems to be discontinued and it’s not for my 2019 SG. There is a new one but my question is, can you not add the switch? Would the fog lights just be on with the turn signals at all times?

I'm not sure as the switch completes the circuit for everything. I would consult with the dealer for the proper switch and harness. I will say there's a benefit to having them on a switch as they are bright. Sometimes in a group it helps to not blind your buddies !

Hello, first of all thanks for the video, it's great, do you know if they could support some auxiliary lights: auxbeam 3” series pro of 80w, I saw that your baja design are 20w I know that the fuses are 15 amps and that they can support 180w in total of the lights.

Thanks for watching, I don't know the specs on those lights but you should be able to figure it out using the Amperage and wattage of the lights.

I left the female ends on the end of the Baja lights. Then I cut the Harley male plugs off the very end of the harness and replaced them with the provided Baja male plugs. Both were a simple two wire plug

So essentially the lights with the harness from harley that ties into a signal post without purchasing the dash switch would allow the lights to neatly be tied in and they would be on anytime the main switch to bike or accessory position is on? While using the male plugs from the bd harness for lights of course. Thats the way I plan to go if it would work as I'm thinking.

I would assume that's correct as they'd have constant power from the signals. It is nice to have them switched though, as they're bright at times following behind a group.

This video is awesome, just tried replacing my headlight with one of those cyclops looking things, was brighter but with no adjustment it was useless. I’m going to do this instead. Any guidance on the wiring of the Baja connectors to the Harley harness?

They’re both two wire positive and negative . I believe I mentioned the colors in other comments. As for cutting the Harley harness I did so at the very end and just changed the male plug . Thanks for watching!

I think the road king has a different button placement to fit the headlight nacelle, but you could likely use the same technique.

The Harley harness has a “Y” split and is designed to run down to either side of the crash bars. I only cut the very end to swap on the male Baja plugs .

The Baja S1 amp draw is 2.8 for a set. Have you noticed anything different with the electrical since your pulling power from the turn signals?

No, I haven't noticed anything or had any issue. I remember I had the same concern when looking at doing these. However, Harley uses the same method of pulling from the signals for the daymaker fogs and passing lights, which I believe (don't quote me) draw more amps.

I definitely need to do more for lighting on my 17 road glide ultra. Biggest issue with lights is my high beams shoot clear up in the trees. Apparently the factory head lights are not adjustable?

Thanks for watching and subscribing. Congrats on the new King. The mounts I bought should work anywhere on the guard as it should all be 1.25" diameter. But there are also nicer clamp mounts out there. I think your setup will have to vary a little bit, as the button pack to fit your headlight nacelle is different. I'd talk with the dealer and see if there's a HD wiring harness to add fog lights specifically to a Road King . From there just splice the male Baja plugs on the very end, to match the S1 female ends.

The Harley fog light harness noted in the description should give you everything you need. Otherwise, all I did was splice on the Baja Designs male plug ends at the end of the harness where they then plug into the lights. Good Luck.

It can be done not positive how it works with that exact wiring. I do know if I’m riding in the group behind my buddies I usually shut them off. There are companies that make a bracket and kit to run them full time and as a turn signal.

Just finished the install. Mounted on engine guards down low and wired as running/turn signals. Used the wiring harness included in the BajaDesign package spliced into a Namz turn signal wiring adapter.

Well there’s no diagram on mixing the two brands. Essentially what we did was follow all the Harley routing for the wires. At the very end of the wiring you’d run to either crash bar or where you mount the lights there’s a 2 wire small Harley plug that would mate with their lights. We simply cut just that end off , and pinned on the 2 wire male Baja plug that’s matched the lights female plug.

It could be done , just depends on your wiring skills. The universal mounts would work for the 1.25 crash bars. I know people on the forums have found nice rocker switches that fit the victory dash, otherwise you’d have to decide where to pull power from. You could easily come right off the battery if it’s a XC.
