There are 2 locking arms holding the back side honeycomb pad. You should be able to unlock them & remove that honeycomb pad alone.

Nice efforts Bro! but If back panel is non removable then is it not possible to remove only honeycomb pad (by unscrewing the plastic plates/sticks which are holding the Honeycomb pad from Inside) ?
