I can definitely see why people love Frost so much, because when you pop cooldowns and start seeing 100K+ Crits popping up all over the screen and the enemy health bar disappearing, it's a pretty exhilarating feeling :D Still need to get the hang of it, but so far Frost has been a lot of fun :D

Dual wield frost doesn't really hold up to 2-h IMO. It relies on frost strike over obliterate and I think obliterate is just too powerful when you hit a nice crit proc. UH is still master race

Also I personally prefer 2hd haste-mastery-crit and using chilblains in general but mostly against mages since I believe they can blink out of asphyxiate so it kinda wastes your stun and you lose silence, I like remorseless winter against melee like warriors and rogues and also some healers for well timed cc.

Unholy is more reliable dps and tanky, though u won't see big big numbers it all adds up with dots and pet DMG, would say its easier but u do need to land timing and does take quite some skill to perfect, also u should have more cc as well that's why it works so well in 3s etc. I personally started wotlk as unholy (not that it matters since so much has changed lol) but have played frost casually and competitively ever since. IMO so much more fun, takes more skill to me, in arena or against guys who know what they are doing or in 2-3 vs 1 fights. Of course they are a bit OP sometimes when you get procs, which the spec really relies on whether you go mastery or haste, and in bgs against average players. The big problem that makes them (that I feel) weaker is survivability and like I said reliability. Of course you can sit in blood presence and pop conversion which does really help BUT unlike unholy, you kinda need to be in frost presence against some classes and situations. You can try to survive all you want but your dmg will be gimped out and if the other player(s) are good, you'll be dead and have done nothing but last a little longer. Note: this obviously doesn't happen all the time or anything, just saying what I find happens sometimes. Honestly if you dont get killing machine procs or runic corruption/empowerment or blood tap stacks, you fall really far behind, yes, sometimes killing machine does not proc all the time and even if it does, against fully geared players, your obliterates will sometimes crit for shit compared to what you take, especially if they pop a cd, (I crit a ele shaman for 50k and he LB proc crit me for 60k and 40k, shitty if you consider you spent 2 runes on that while his was free, another ex. 80-110k on warlocks who have far better survival and can also dish out 150-180k chaos bolts wtf lol). I have done a lot though on some guys fully geared and under geared, most I've seen was 280k on a druid and like 300k with zerking on a crappy lock, on average I see 100k-200k crits on almost all guys. Anyways there's my experience and 2 cents, all in all it just depends how you play your dk and if you enjoy it lol, might've missed some things, if anyone cares to share :).

I play feral and dk's are the scumiest scum ever. They almost never die due to some bs who knows what. They sometimes make you go from 400k hp to 0 in like 2 hits and they have so much fucking cc honestly you don't need skill to play dk

TheElectriczil Yeah honestly, if you are both equally "Skilled", feral should barely or even never lose to a dk especially Frost, you bleed and out last a dk, your survival is much greater while dk heals do shit as frost and wont heal through bleeds at all. Your bleeds should be ticking for 20-40k+ hits and crits each.

Only time that I have seen a dual wield work better dmg is during pve where you can time rotations into your haste, 2H is still the king for PvP in frost, kinda like unholy can outplay frost in 3's

for frost dk haste>mastery is pretty awesome you can sit in blood presence with the same rune uptime as in frost presence i'm at ilvl 538 i have 93.49% haste attack speed 1.86 so many killing machien procs hitting those obliterates for 100-150k crits soon i will test haste>crit for some huge soulreaper crits mastery doesnt matter anyway for 2h because its only affect frost strike howling blast and frost fever and its al about obliterate also use runic empowerment its so much better for frost..for frost dw go haste>mastery with runic corruption sitting in frost presence youll do so many crits that your head will blow :p spamming howling blast and 100k frost strikes dont even bother obliterate the problem with dw is that your very sensitive for incomming damage but still the damage is pretty awesome

Frost was the most annoying spammy kids spec in lower levels. Not sure if it's OP still based on balancing to other classes but, splashing that winterfresh on that ass still looks annoyingly OP. :P I play blood. I go for the underdawg spec. COMBAT ROUGE & BLOOD DK!
