I allowed the culture to manipulate me into believing the lies Voddie talks about in these messages. I was extremely selfish, I wanted a career, nice things, money and status. I am married to the man I "fell" in love with when I was 16 years old. I was rebellious to my parents and moved out on my own, and after I got married I wanted the worlds view of "equality" in this marriage. Almost 4 years into our marriage, we were still happy but did not do God's will, we have no children. However, we have both been called by God, and allowed God to change our hearts. We have, not of ourselves but by work of the Holy Spirit, changed our entire life. I know this is of the Holy Spirit because I was extremely selfish and hated kids as the world had taught me to, but now, I long to be submissive to my husband, have a family and do the Lords will. Praise God for sending us His word, and thank God for a faithful servant such as Voddie for preaching the truth.
@Leon-Servant-of-Christ Жыл бұрын
Amen, isn't it wonderful?!!! The Holy Spirit did the same for me & my best friend! We are both servants of The Almighty Lord Jesus Christ! We both were selfish and now are both the epitome of unselfishness! I know that all of my family and friends are happy that the Almighty God(all three father, son, spirit) changed us. I'm single, she's still in a relationship with a very selfish person which we have tried to bring to Christ but after he got mad and said f - you and f - your God; that was it for him... You can't make a horse drink the water, even after you bring him to the pool. God bless you all, and remember to never, never, EVER deny or betray Christ, no matter what happens to you or what you go through! Christ is always there for you waiting with loving arms! Give up your pride, it will kill you in the end! Hopefully he will come to Christ. May God bless you.

My husband and I have been together since I was 18 and was actually living together and I got pregnant ! I have always felt guilty and wanted to please God and not live in sin anymore. Anyways, the pastor was against it and it was hung over my head for years that he wasn’t suppose to marry me . We could had gotten divorced many years ago but I kept praying and repented and have been married going on 23 years. We both had to learn what marriage really is suppose to be about. Understanding God’s purpose outweighs everything in a marriage . Everything voddie is saying is so true. Leaning on God has kept us together and when he was made the center everything changed for the good. God is good and his word is truth! Marriage ain’t no joke and it’s so sad how society doesn’t value or see the true meaning of marriage.

Not sure where you are located but find you a spiritually healthy, expository church (if you haven’t already) and try to connect with even another couple, even if they’re a little older, that has the wisdom to speak into your lives. It helps so much. Also, a great movie I’ve seen recently is Like Arrows on Pure Flix. But have your tissues ready - what a heartfelt tear-jerker. I was drawn to your response and will pray over both of you. ❤
@Targetdrew9 ай бұрын
Pureflix will help. I can vouch for that. Also look at Jimmy Evans sermons. It is vital he has a message that forces him to reflect on his entirety to find where he has sinned so he can repent and turn to Jesus asking for forgiveness so he can turn to Jesus as his lord and saviour because you can help your husband but only Jesus can do what Jesus can do. ✝️💜🙏
@goodatbeingpoor6 ай бұрын
I know you have kids so this is going to hurt and probably make you angry, but you can not marry him. You have to leave him. God does not want you unequally yolked. You are sinning, and will be sinning if you marry him. I am speaking to you as a woman 20 years on the other side. You will be spiritually alone for the rest of your life, you will never truly be able to share your heart or the most precious things because they all involve God. Don’t fool yourself into thinking you can make him be a Christian. Raising your children will be a constant battle because he is ruled by Satan. As you get older and grow in maturity, you will want a man to lead you and lead your children in God’s word to teach them God’s ways and that will never happen. So, you will try to teach them all that is in the scriptures yourself and it will clash daily with what they see their father doing, he will look evil to them. You may have to hide the teaching of the Word from your husband because he will eventually get angry that you’re teaching the children that he’s going to hell. You will spend your life trying to submit to a man who ruled by the world. You will struggle every day with resentment because your children will never have what God intended them to have. And if he decides he’s had enough and wants to divorce you, the Bible says because you’re an equally yoked, you have to let him go. The Bible does not say to marry someone because you get pregnant. You are not sinning if you break up with a man you are not married to. It does not say to marry someone because you’re in love with them or because you’ve invested so many years living with them. I have six children; four are atheist, one is transgender, one is lesbian, one agnostic, and one young Christian ( the transgender also professed Christianity when young) who is too scared to get baptized because of Dad. And dad’s a really good guy by a secular standard.

This is the best sermon I have EVER heard regarding marriage. I’m literally crying hearing this because I have two failed marriages. I was married first at 24 years, and second at 38 years and wish I heard this beforehand. I’m 54 now. In fact, I wish I was SAVED before my first marriage. Hearing this from Pastor Baucham made me reflect on my mistakes in choosing my husbands, and the signs I failed to see. And it made me reflect on myself as well… immaturity, selfishness, low self esteem and not having my father active in my life are also factors. The foundation of Family is a ministry in itself according to the Lord’s design. I was not ready for marriage. It is a serious thing and truly God’s ordained gift to us.

Me to have had a similar circumstances with similar reasons…but Gods word reads he is a forgiving God so once you confessed your sin you also have to repent from your sin and God will not know it no more! True we will still have to live with the consequences of our sin but that’s temporary because he will come back for us one day and we will be able to stand in his presence and say thank you for your grace and mercy ANDDDDDD forgiveness for I know what I did but when I found out I did transgress against you I repented and changed from my wicked ways🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 I was made new by the blood of the lamb and you knew my sin no more hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah to God be the glory 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

This is what you call identity preaching. This man has not walked in my shoes, but i truly believe he has the wisdom to have a greater understanding than most. He is so uplifting.

This is the best message about love & marriage I have ever heard. Mr Voddie, may God bless you and your family. I pray for your safety always. I pray for all my brothers & sisters that are stuck in the wrong relationships 😪 I would like to know please, say I am in one of those totally wrong marriages. Will God forgive me if I decide to divorce him, to rather live by myself. I am sure if I repent and am really sorry for my sin 🙏

3:01:44 Wow, he nailed it with the reason for the seed of resentment I have as an only child toward my mom. I pray for her salvation daily, and praise God that He restored the relationship between my dad and me.

This is so good teaching for a man and woman who would get married to hold on to and try to live in faitfullness and love for each other to fulfll a great life together in Christ rejecting the lies of the devil's divorce!! By allowing Christ to be the head of their lives

@ Lyn Augustine Yeah sure ! The reason why we get married is love !! Joke. To avoid fornication , let every man have his wife (..;) The reason why we get married is a sexual one. It has nothing to do with love. We are supposed to love the children of God adamantly . That does not mean we are going to marry them all ! Making marriage all about love is as insane as telling people to go to a restaurant and not eat there but just love the waiter and the customers !

If we’d had known this about 24 years ago our lives would be significantly different by now. We ran from love…unknowingly and frightened. Waiting on God to do whatever it is He is going to do. I’ll be more careful next time. 🙏🏽✨
