I have my grandmother’s cookbook. She was born in Scotland and her father was a baker in Scotland. Her recipes are my most treasured thing I inherited from her.

The ice cream recipe is phenomenal. Few store bought brands are as satisfying. The homemade cheese crackers are also fantastic. I have had people follow me around and keep asking until I agree to make more ice cream. I do an almond flavor that really is over the top. I'm not a fan of many alternative breads. Thankfully, I don't have issues with gluten. I tried many when I was doing keto, and I just didn't like them. Some tasted too eggy, and some had no flavor. I do, however, try to limit bread intake, except for the holidays.

I keep a lot in my freezer. Most of my flour that I don’t use often like cake or pastry flour. I take it out to warm up before use. Nuts or nut flours butter. Etc. I am quite far from a lot of stores and bake a lot so it inky makes sense to stock up. I just found your channel and love it! I’m curious about your feelings about storing in plastic as I’ve read so much about how it gets in your food. I’m older though and glass is too heavy for me. Thanks so much for this advise !

I agree with you, go back to my cookbooks, online recipes have a higher rate of failure for me I find

Be wary of any commercial bread that says Keto. It’s usually no better than traditional bread metabolically. I don’t trust big food.

That's a great point-it's always good to read labels carefully and stay informed about the ingredients in any food product, including those marketed as 'keto.' Everyone's dietary needs and preferences are different, so finding what works best for you is key. Thanks for sharing your perspective!
