Oh i Love it!! 🥰😍Here‘s a pro tip from my grandmother: If your sourdough isn‘t working try to mix it with a plastic or wooden spoon and don‘t use a metallic one. The metal can harm the bacteria☀️
@hollydaugherty2620 Жыл бұрын
That’s not actually accurate. Metal can only affect the acid when it is for a VERY long period of time, such as storing your starter in a brass or copper pot. Stirring it has no effect on anything. And stainless steel has zero reaction with sourdough.

Omg thank you so much for taking the time to make this video! I’m 51 and your sourdough tutorial finally gave me the courage I needed to finally try to make some sourdough bread! I’ve been feeding my starter for months but felt like the process was going to be so complicated there was no way I could do it. Your video was awesome and you made it so easy to understand! Thank you! My loaves turned out beautiful and delicious and absolutely perfect! Had to comment and say thank you!

I have been making sourdough bread for years with a hand me down almost 80 year old starter. I skip the levain and stretch and fold as it takes so much extra time. I do prepare the dough and do the long overnight ferment, then bake the next morning. the only difference I can see is it doesn't get as many airy holes. Still sour and a great loaf , I am pretty much a minimalist, so don't have any special cutter for designs or rising baskets. Your loaves look beautiful. Always happy to see younger people make their own bread.

I used this recipe to make my very first sourdough loaf using my own 14-day old sourdough starter and it came out amazing!! Though I did halved the recipe the first time in case I messed up and wasted ingredients. Today I’m making the full recipe. Day #2 here we go! 😁❤

Girl, this recipe/method has been a game changer for me. I've had my starter for a few weeks and I kept trying the "easy" recipes I could find online. Your method seemed too fussy, so I thought I could circumvent it. After making doorstops for a few weeks, I finally broke down and followed your method. Now I have the prettiest, fluffiest loaf sitting on my counter. It's beautiful, and the taste is amazing. This is definitely going to be my method from now on. Thank you!

I just followed this tutorial and WOW! I’ve never made sourdough before (well, I’ve TRIED a couple of times, but what I ended up with couldn’t really be considered sourdough…), so this process was intimidating, but I just followed the steps and it isn’t really that difficult. I messed up a couple of things (I didn’t feed my starter at the right time and I used all purpose flour instead of bread flour) but I ended up with the best sourdough I’ve ever had. It’s moist and springy and the crust is perfectly crisp and chewy. Just WOW. Thank you for the awesome tutorial! I can’t wait to make more!!!

I have 1 simple suggestion if you don’t mind ,throw about 3 ice cubes inside the pan after putting in bread but make sure you put them outside of the parchment paper and the steam will make it so much more better and won’t burn too crispy don’t know if you know about it or you can just spray it with water right before covering the loaf hope you try it and thank you for sharing your way of making sourdough bread I just love it ❤

Made my first sour dough today! Followed a lot of tips from this video and referred back to this constantly while making! Turned out so yummy! 2 loaves and one is already more than half way gone😂 Thanks so much for the inspiration and guide! I ordered a starter off Etsy, and downloaded the sourdough for beginners guide you linked. Only thing is I noticed my bread was very moist throughout the whole process, as well as I fermented on the counter way too long as I left it out as I went to bed. Florida life .. hot + humid = less water + less time. But like you said - the craft shall be perfected in time 🙏💕

I am going to have to get some of those glass jars! I have been looking for one like that for my Levain. I make Einkorn sourdough bread. I am gluten intolerant and most people with a gluten sensitivity can eat Einkorn wheat, but those with Celiac cannot. I sell my bread to others in my community that have the same issue as I do and get tired of gummy/cardboard gluten free bread! I found out that I love making bread! I always wanted to make bread, I tried and tried in my 20's and couldn't make anything successfully. But somehow in my 40's, I can make beautiful bread. 😊
