About:
Jason and Lorraine. In 2016 we sold most of our belongings and left the city in southern California to start a small homestead in the mountains of North Carolina. We left the city in search for a more minimal and intentional life. We became passionate about growing our own food and knowing what exactly is in our food after I (Jason) became diagnosed with cancer. Now 8 years in remission we as a family are on a journey to live our passions.
We document our life on KZbin videos to inspire others to get out of their comfort zone and not be afraid of change. We started our own online general store where we have available the things we make and use in real life. Thank you for following us on this incredible life changing journey!

This was a good look at all the activities, my 2 favs were the builder and the garden locater app (and the musician). It's great to see how many attended, during the week, in an area where there is always so much to choose from, I was glad to see the crowd.

Also, after your trip to the expo, have you changed your feelings on choosing NC at all? My hubby was so inspired Jason and Ben, he hasn't stopped looking at potential homesteads out there.

Just thought I would drop you a line to let you know I saw an episode of your channel and really liked it. What you are doing now is pretty much what we did in the 70's. Raised 4 kids on 3 acres. Ate like kings, and fed the neighborhood to boot. Always canning and preserving food. The kids knew how spoiled they were when they went off to college when they started eating not home cooked food. LOL Subscribed and rang the bell. Good luck on your channel.
