Baker Lake, WA | A Perfect Place to Day Hike & Backpack Overnight

A couple weeks ago it wasn't the best weather but I knew I still wanted to get outside and hike, I didn't want to drive super far like I always do. So I went to Baker Lake, only an hour from my apartment. I always come here to swim in the summertime, I've driven up so many forest roads around this area, hiked to hot springs and up mountains nearby.. All of it. But I've never actually hiked around the lake, so I went and hiked to Anderson Point Campground and Maple Grove Campground. (Coming from the Southern Baker Lake trailhead) This would be an absolute perfect backpacking trip, either for one night at the first campground or a multi-day trip because of how long the trail is and how many campgrounds are along it.
Oh how I love Washington so much in the summertime.

Hi Niki, great video, thanks for posting. I am going backpacking for the first time with my two sons, and this looks perfect for us. I have a question. We are leaving Saturday August 19th and returning Sunday, August 20th. If we start our hike around 7 AM, do you think we are likely to get a campsite at the Anderson Point Campsite? Should we start earlier? Thank you.

@@carldwyer6058 I had some medical problems and wasn't up to backpacking, but I took my sons to Friday Harbor and we rented E bikes and had a good weekend.
