The Bucs have surrounded quarterback Backer Mayfield with several weapons on offense. Is it the best group of players that he's had to work with in his career?
Pewter Report will discuss it.

The season will depend on how productive the running game is. If it can be top 15 then the Bucs will be in double digits for wins and be able to contend for the Super Bowl. The play action passing would be outstanding.

If part of the "Cast" includes his OC, this is definitely his best supporting cast. Last season was his first in an NFL system designed with his skill-set in mind. Now he has that again, plus hopefully a better O-line and at least SOME running attack.

I still am disappointed with the bucs decision to force out john lynch who wanted to be a buc for life, tried to play for free. And he proved he could still produce. Still can't believe it.

Kudos to you guys for pointing out what Baker was up against trying to succeed with the ridiculously bad HCs, and OCs he had in Cleveland. IMO, bad (and ever-changing) coaches just about erases having good players. Bad systems DON'T win.

He needs another Offensive Lineman or two, and possibly another RB. I am waiting to see Bucky Irving and the rest of this new Rookie Class. Lord knows Licht is a wizard at personnel so if he has as much luck with this class as he has with the last few we should be in great shape.

Top Tackle tandem in the league and first Center off the board! Stacked with Weapons all over the field! If you can't get it done with this roster you just can't get it done!

How do people judge running backs?...oh...so they "have to "crash" through the defense?...I think Rashaad ran for TD"s creating multiple TD's... ...crashing doesn't necessarily mean good production, only body decline... the incentive is burst and run...no crash...which some of you believe.. by the way Rachaad is extremely productive...I'd take over Chubb any day...sorry

This is probably Baker's best supporting cast overall since his days in Oklahoma I feel he has better receivers in Tampa but he also had Joe mixon semaji perine at RBs and Mark Andrews at TE

I've heard Odell Beckham brag about how well he adlibs his routes. Could it be that Mayfield is more of a "timing pattern" QB, who needs to have his target zigg when he's supposed to zigg and zagg when he's supposed to zagg?

Greg counsel from NFL films was on the podcast not too long ago and said something of that nature when it comes to baker he's a timing QB or something like that lol

@@michaellaroche3418 And when Baker threw passes where OBJ was SUPPOSED to be, and the pass got picked off, GUESS who's numbers were permanently scarred? Plus, I'd love to see a video of the MULTIPLE, drive ending 3rd and 4th down passes OBJ dropped. (It was a LOT!)

He was consistently late last year when not throwing to 1st read so wouldn't call him a timing QB... But WRs shouldn't be making the decisions it leads to too many miscommunications and the QB has the better vantage point. OBJ def contributed to the INT problem of he was "improvising". Kinda like Bruce Arians Route Tree Offense doomed Jameis who already had an INT prob.

Baker spread the ball well all his time at Cleveland. He had no choice. His number one receiver, Landry only ran a 4.7 in his prime. Was slower in Cleveland.

Mayfield had one decent season and management gave him the most absurd contract that's imaginable. No Bucs quarterback; including Brady has ever been offered a contract anywhere near it. Mayfield ahould have been offered a reasonable contract and told to take it or leave it. Giving a player money they haven't earned yet is not a good idea.

You are clueless. Baker was a 15th ranked QB and he got a 15th ranked contract. This isn’t 2003 anymore.

@@brianomoli4 Clueless.... How is Mayfield possibly worth a guaranteed 100 million for 3 years when he's only played for us 1season. Im not saying he's not a good quarterback , I'm saying he needs another good season before betting the farm on him. I've seen the arrogant prick on his couch filming commercials bloviating on how amazing he is . Lets just hope he delivers.

@@brianomoli4 Baker was the 12th rated QB (Passer Rating, unless you meant another metric). And he's got the 17th highest contract now. That Rating also includes that Panthers game where he was a walking corpse. If not for that he'd been like 10th.
