The quarterback's 734 passing yards also tied the record for most passing yards in a game. Mahomes's 52 completions set the Big 12 record for most completions in a game, a record previously held by Kliff Kingsbury.[3] Oklahoma became the first team in college football to have a 500-yard passer, a 200-yard rusher, and a 200-yard receiver in the same game

I agree. I guess that Pace saw a new Manning in Tribs, but Watson was right up there... Chicago could've traded down to get him. Whatever, I'm a Packer fan getting ready for 3:30 today, but also a secondary Bear fan. I'm a Wisconsinite, and my Sis lives 6 blocks from Soldier Field. We are both hoping that Watson keeps Chicago in mind as a logical destination.

@@barrymccockiner5321 don’t fucking matter! Both Watson AND Mahomes was/is lights out better than Trubisky. Just look at Mahomes throughout college. His pace and instincts are off the charts. You can’t teach that, let alone that rocket of an arm he has. Watson was a proven winner and prevailed against injuries. Also had an amazing game against Bama in the natty game. I just don’t get it.

Tx Tech players I see now in NFL: Mahomes, Coutee. OU/Oklahoma players I now see in NFL: Baker Mayfield, Dede Westbrook, Joe Mixon, Mark Andrews, Ogbo Oronkwo(45 Rams), Steven Parker, Jordan Evans, Ceedee Lamb, Kyler Murray(backup), etc

And Lamar Jackson with a standard 4 TD game coming across the stat line at 1:00. What a time to be alive.

qbs that season were phenomenal. 17 and 18 really had some studs in the draft classes. guys like mahomes, watson, allen, lamar. crazy. 20 also tbh with burrow and herbert. 19 was the only season in recent memory where there weren’t at least 2 good qbs, murray was really the only standout. (unless you want to count minshew lol)

I remember tuning into this game live. Maybe like the 5th time I had watched Mahomes but I knew then and there exactly what he’d be. Play style reminded me of my brother playing in HS and pop Warner lol

Mahomes had 734 yards passing this game. Baker had seven TD's.

What’s crazy is Mahomes threw the ball more then double the amount of times that Baker threw. Baker only threw 200 yards less.
@ChairmanMeow13 жыл бұрын
@@shaboidagoober1304 I forgot how crazy this game was!! Over 800 total yards from Mahomes which I think is the all time record. Mixon had a crazy game too, 100+ yds rushing AND receiving.

Great Game Buddy Mahomes through more cause TTU had dogshit defense. Kliff just put other game on his back because that was the only way they could even match

Bad take, Jonathon Giles was the Big12 leading receiver up to this point, Antoine Wesley is on the ravens, Derrick willies is on the browns, Cantrell was incredible this year + others. Both teams had an incredible offense, and that doesn’t undermine the success/greatness of either of these quarterbacks.

It sucks because, as an OU fan, the Baker years were so much fun to watch, but also sometimes the most frustrating because we had a defense so bad that we would snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
@YouOnlyIiveTwice2 жыл бұрын
@@apples8872 1000% Even with an average defense, we most likely would have gotten a Natty. We almost beat Georgia whom almost beat Bama (the national champs) with the shit defense we had. Baker would have made us look like 2019 LSU for 2 years in a row.
