There are countless color variations in nature, but I think you nailed it with your pattern. 👌🏻 I would have left out the red under the mouth, but that's a matter of taste. 😉 Keep it up, I'm looking forward to the next video. Greetings from Germany. ✌🏻🎣

As a pike angler in Sweden I would say that the dots/stripes are more yellowish. And if you like I can send you a pickture of a beautiful pikeback that I caught last year. Not a big one but yet a cool back.

Nice one! What clearcoat do you use on the jointed baits? And how do you apply and dry the bait? Rotating?

I would have done a masking fluid for the spots instead of doing what you did. In addition, the spots are more verticals on the top half of the fish in a stripe pattern and then horizontal on the bottom half. Personally, before you had the stripes it was reminding me dead on of a brown trout. An enjoyable watch!

No worries about color fine sir, I catch them all the time mostly on accident. The top color can be green brown gray or any combo there of, the spots can be circles ovals or almost stripes in green to brown to black, the belly can be white cream or gold. and finally the fins can be green, brown, white, orange, or red. Needless to say they are HIGHLY variable!

Spots are more muted on the back generally. I could do without the red on the head. BUT, it’s a lure and it looks damn good. Guaranteed that dog will hunt!

For jointed lures like a glide what is the best way to clear coat without freezing up the joint. (I use a 2 part epoxy and a turner)

Juvenile pike have large vertical bars/stripes. No dots at all, most Lure manufactorers make the same mistake.
