Another fabulous castle story. Thank you. Kays new sock design is a beauty with her speckled yarns.

Please please don't give up on that Brooklyn Tweed Targhee. I agree with Dan that he should try it again. It IS different and does feel resistant, BUT once you get acquainted with it, it begins to feel wonderful. And when it's washed and blocked!! My Weekender is my favorite, cozy, light sweater. The funky stitches completely relax into one another....it's magic.

I love BT Shelter, to knit and especially to wear. It's funny how everyone is different on what yarns they like to knit and or wear...very individualized.

Former librarian here. If you own the book, write in it. If you borrowed the book, don’t write in it. I have a lot of books, whether they’re from my career as an educator, culinarian, fitness, professional, and now partially retired person who uses her free time, knitting and sewing when she’s not at Disneyland, making people happy, that I have written all over. If I don’t write in them to keep notes of changes, I’ve made then I’ll hell will break loose the next time I make the thing. So librarian is giving permission to write your books lol

Love this! I’ll also note that as a used book lover, I personally feel notes in the book add to the value for me, not detract from it!

A little bit of shopping at Polka Dot Creek Yarn! Interestingly enough, I've purchased items from the UK, and they have arrived in Canada quicker than some purchases I've bought from the US. The government postal service works better, which explains why many US companies ship through third-party couriers. Then, the price skyrockets along with brokerage fees at the border. Love the Castle Series!

Dan, that cowl is just stunning! 👏🏼👏🏼 WOW! Love it! Kay, you make knitting socks look so much fun! I wish to one time make at least one pair of socks, but I still haven't. A few reasons why I haven't. 1. I'm scared. Lol 2. I'm too hard on socks. 3. No one in my family would keep hand washing them. So I just look and admire yours. They are so beautiful!

Hi Lisa, thank you so much for your comments! You should definitely give socks a go one day, they’re easier than they look. Also the fit and comfort of a hand knitted sock is just wonderful x

I too preferred Addi for sock knitting until I discovered Karbonz circulars! My favorite dpns are Karbonz, but I like to knit two socks at a time. I like the points on Karbonz needles and was glad to find circulars in that brand.

Do you think your plump sock yarn might br sport weight? A common sock yarn where I live is Kroy. It is labelled sock yarn ( not fingering) but I think that it is sport weight.

FYI - Godi is an Icelandic pattern - traditionally it would have only been available in one size with minimal details (the expectation was that everyone knew/could work out how to modify a pattern for a different size, and perhaps a solution involving a pattern jog was aesthetically unimportant) - multiple size patterns were not a thing - you are experiencing the authentic generational transmission of the craft of handknitting!

All absolutely valid points and had I not knitted a number of designs by the same designer before where all the motifs fitted to perfectly, I wouldn’t have had that expectation. Dan
