BAKEWELL BLAST

Now this is a fantastic ride and definitely one of my favourite rides, the reason? Beeley Bar lane, on a quiet day with no walkers it's one of those "as fast as you dare" descents, it's a long fast flowing descent that'll put a grin on your face from ear to ear, speeds of 40mph+ are capable if you have the balls to just let your brakes off and just let it go, the good news is that this ride has more descents to make you smile too, it also has some quite brutal climbs as well if that's your thing, the only negative thing for me was getting home to discover that the angle of my GoPro was quite low in places but you get the idea of the ride and the low angle wasn't for long before I realised my error, anyway I hope you enjoy the video, if so please drop a comment, if you didn't, please don't leave a negative and no explanation why, tell me why you didn't enjoy the video so I can address the issue, and please like comment and consider subscribing, thanks.

You're definitely on catch up ....banging out the uploads like good o. A lovely tour and some good speed. These really are my local trails. Linacre was the place as a younger man I first discovered the joys of MTB.

Thanks Jonathan 👍 I had tons of stuff to upload but GoPro lost quite a lot of data so it was pointless trying to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear, interesting thought on the algorithm mate, as a beginner I don’t have first hand experience of it, just hearsay, when I run out of stuff to upload I dare say I’ll find out, I like riding around Lineker it’s a lovely place to ride 🤘😎

This ones a lot smoother trails than your normal videos , some lovely flowing countryside , I saw the speed appearing on your display in places and was thinking it's a nice fast run . My fastest speed so far recorded on the kiox has been 46.9 mph that feels fast even tho I'm often faster on motorbikes, I agree with you there it's having the confidence to just send it and trust your brakes and tyres, I'm now running 220mm rotors at both ends as I tend to use my rear way too much and ended up with little or no rear brake and having to constantly pump the lever

Cheers buddy for your reply, yeah this one was a lot smoother but Beeley Bar Lane is gnarley at the top but also very flowy too, I absolutely love it, that’s fast pal, I’ve been over 40mph but I can’t remember how far over it, I have recently fitted Hope Tech 4 V 4’s and 203mm rotors but it’s not quite finished so I don’t know how good they are, I’m looking forward to trying them 🤘👍

Cheers pal, I’m really enjoying it at the moment and it’s helping me while I’m laid up with my Bonky eyesight🤣I have a few more to upload but they’re local, I don’t want to stop uploading or I’ll get caned by the algorithms but I also want to make sure that they’re at least half to watch, I’ll have to look at them and make a decision 😁

Interesting point about the algorithm thing. I've found that some if my best performing Vids are after I've not uploaded for ages .....it's a mystery 😂

What navigation are you using? Is it a Garmin?

I use Komoot mainly through my earbuds as an audio guide and Guide and Garmin as a visual guide, most of the time they work well together but it’s fun when there’s a slight difference in directions, when that happens I just follow Komoot as it’s in my ear holes 😁
