Some crazy overgrown sections of trail around there.😂. I'm familiar with the part from about 15 minutes to about 18. Great section that. Nice one 👍

Thanks mate, it’s funny you should say that about recognising sections, I say that because I watched a video last night from another KZbin’r who did the same route 3 months ago and it was unrecognisable only because of the lack of vegetation, the section where the farmer had blocked the road with a tractor was like the difference between night and day 😉

Thanks Ian, yeah it was great ride mate, although on the day I felt like I could have done another 10 miles on top of riding, I’ve never felt as fresh as that after a ride before, I have lost a stone in weight recently which might have had something to do with it 👍 I can’t wait for my next ride not least of all because I had a horrible day yesterday, I witnessed a guy trying to kill himself by stabbing himself in the head and neck with a knife, not much sleep last night and getting flashbacks from it all, all this happened when I was at work ☹️

Nice steady loop for you, nettles brambles and gorse are all getting full on , plus the flying things too, look a good ride and a good idea to test things befo re going further afield . I'm just having major problems with the motor on my old Cannondale . It wont turn on and the controller wont communicate with the motor meaning the caanbus wont tell the battery to work , all in all its basically a pcb failure which I had diagnosed myself but had to go in to try and get it on Bosch tools ....which can't communicate with the motor either , bikes a touch of 3 years old and never swamped etc, I even pulled the motor apart to check for water ingress, bearings are as new and no sign of any ingress, so now Wheelbase are going to submita report to Bosch at best Imight get a slightly discounted motor !.. I suppose I was Just lucky I didn't sell it right away after buying the Whyte or i would have some very pissed off buyer throwing it back at me , unbelievable failing literally days after buying the new bike , I took it out for a short ride and it just turned off, it turns on for a few seconds on Kiox then says goodbye and won't recognise the battery, I've had two different batteries on , checked all continuity of every wire needed , even tried the old purion controller direct in the motor to no avail, pre smart system gen 4, eventually took it in to get the final verdict , I'm now at the mercy of Bosch for the price of a new motor. But then the bikes useless without a motor so I either replace the motor or gut the motor and remove the battery and use it as an analogue 😞
@yorkneytrailrider1751

Bloody hell mate, it’s a major dilemma, although saying that, Bosch are pretty good with their customers I’ve heard, if they won’t give you a new motor they usually help with the repair costs or so The Yorkshire Bike Mechanic says on KZbin. Your not wrong about the flying things either, I lost count how many of the bloody things I ingested on Saturday, one of them hit me right in the back of my throat and almost made me sick, I hate them and the thought’s of what it could’ve been on before it ended up in my body makes me 🤮

Thanks mate, some of it is a nice woodland to ride through but I thought it was the worst video I’ve made so far, I really struggled to find some decent footage to make a video out of, the bike park is great and it was the third time I’d ever been there, I’ve been there since but I’ve since found out there’s more trails than I originally thought so I’m looking forward to investigating that in time. The dog walker sounded like he was playing hell up with someone else, I think he had earplugs in and did shout at me but you couldn’t hear that on the video, that’s the other reason I put my foot down and accelerated away not just because of the dog 😁

This ones a lot smoother trails than your normal videos , some lovely flowing countryside , I saw the speed appearing on your display in places and was thinking it's a nice fast run . My fastest speed so far recorded on the kiox has been 46.9 mph that feels fast even tho I'm often faster on motorbikes, I agree with you there it's having the confidence to just send it and trust your brakes and tyres, I'm now running 220mm rotors at both ends as I tend to use my rear way too much and ended up with little or no rear brake and having to constantly pump the lever

Cheers buddy for your reply, yeah this one was a lot smoother but Beeley Bar Lane is gnarley at the top but also very flowy too, I absolutely love it, that’s fast pal, I’ve been over 40mph but I can’t remember how far over it, I have recently fitted Hope Tech 4 V 4’s and 203mm rotors but it’s not quite finished so I don’t know how good they are, I’m looking forward to trying them 🤘👍

Great looking route, despite not living that far away I’ve rarely ridden around Macc, I’ve done out to Errwood reservoir from Derbyshire Bridge car park and I loop of Macc Forest and that’s it, I’ll have a look for some routes around where you’ve been on this ride.

Many thanks for your kind words pal, Macc forest is brilliant, some epic off piste stuff and some pretty steep stuff too, from what I can gather, there’s loads of rides in that area, I did a ride through there along with Three Shires Head but either my GoPro or the GoPro cloud decided to delete the video I recorded, I also discovered yesterday it deleted some files from a memorial ride I did in honour of my Mum’s passing in 2022, I’ll never get that back or the memories of that day, thanks GoPro 😡 £50 a year for it to NOT keep footage safe, I’m clearing all files and cancelling my subscription to them asap 😡

Another set of cracking trails in nice weather ., Love those trails with loose rocky descents.. As to the guy who says he would rather push his bike up a hill if his legs wont take him I hope he enjoys every slow step pushing his bike miserable ignorant person that he obviously is. For some of us E bikes are the way we get to do what we do, we are not all super fit athletes but the main thing is we get out there on the trails and enjoy ourselves riding our bikes. I would love to be fit enough to do the rides and mileages i do on a normal bike but sadly I'm not a seasoned fit cyclist. I've ridden in mixed groups of E bikes and normal bikes and we always have fun riding so much so I can say I've met some riders up here while out on trails that aftre chatting with me have chosen to ride their normal bikes with me and thanked me for guiding them and are now very good mates and have remained friends, I really can't understand the hatred,. Just get out there and do what you can but the main thing is that you enjoy it !

To be honest pal, for the majority of the time I don’t really take much notice of those people because my opinion is this, in reality they’re people who would love an ebike but can’t afford one so they make statements like that to justify that fact, they’re usually just jealous and envious, I’m not tarring everyone with that brush because I’m not, a lot of the hater’s are people who are fit or young that don’t understand that not everyone is young or fit, don’t judge a book by it’s cover, just live and let live guys, we’re all just doing the same thing in a different way 🤘

well yeah they do, I see loads of none e-bikes when I'm out mate, ask yourself this question, do you have physical health issues, I don't know about you but ive been in the construction industry for over 40 years, 30 of those a heating engineer/plumber, I have an e-bike because my knees are not good and my back isn't fantastic, ie I haven't spent my life sat behind a desk, and at the end of the day does it really matter what types of bikes people choose to ride, the fact is were all out there enjoying the countryside, if I can add one last thing, NOT ALL DISABILITIES ARE VISIBLE 🤔

I’ve got a hard tail and an e-bike and it depends on my health which I use, don’t be so quick to judge people who can’t do what you can and more importantly what impact does it have on you, as long as people are out riding apart from people with your attitude who cares what they ride.

The descent from around 16 minutes in looks really good, how you didnt end up looking like you've been mauled on the the overgrown sections I dont know, usually I seem to end up getting ripped to shreds by brambles and dripping blood from my arms 🙂
