Thanks Rob, yea it’s been a tough few months, I saw someone kill themself and it’s left me with flashbacks and really graffic nightmares, I’m lucky if I get a few hours sleep each night even after going out on my bike it wasn’t much better, I feel so weak without sleep so I’m signed off work until things get better ☹️ The hyper wide angle isn’t as wide as I was expecting to be honest, but then it’s not going to be because GoPro conveniently sell a separate superdupa wide angle fisheye lens at almost £100, it’s marginally wider than the widest lens on my 9 black, ok I know I’ve put some weight on since I’ve been off work but not that much to make that much difference, we got some snow Monday night so went for a ride yesterday but I played around with the settings and only discovered this when I started editing the footage yesterday afternoon, as you can imagine it wasn’t what I hoping for 😠

Thanks Jonathan, I love this area but I’ll be the first to admit I don’t ride it enough, I don’t want to get bored of it so I make a return visit every so often just to keep my interest fuelled, yep I came a cropper but it still made me chuckle 🤣🤣🤣

Your totally right Tony, I lost complete confidence after I broke my thumb but it’s slowly returning and I find myself taking on stuff I wouldn’t think of doing a little while ago, mind you when you watch videos on KZbin it looks like the steep stuff is flat, I’m hoping that GoPro has cracked that with the new GoPro 13 black 🤞

@kryton1021, thanks Bob, brilliant ride but the full credit goes to IanCran76 for the original ride, I just thought I’d change the last section but in actual fact, it would have been better to stick with the original official ending section on Houndkirk road, you live and learn 😁😁 I overtook both of those vans to prove a point as both of them broke their necks to get past me on the approach road only to slow my progress at the bottom of the lane and one of them cut in close to me too, I was going to tell the driver but I decided not to as it would have spoiled my ride 👍

@IanCran76, it was brilliant pal, some fantastic technical stuff and some new stuff too, yeah that section after the cairn looks well tame on camera but as you well know it’s anything but, the many pedal strikes are testament to that, the bracken and gorse certainly didn’t help but I enjoy the challenge of that too, even though I took a fall I very much enjoyed it as I did the whole ride Ian, thanks for sharing it mate 🙏🙏😉😉

Thanks mate, it’s funny you should say that about recognising sections, I say that because I watched a video last night from another KZbin’r who did the same route 3 months ago and it was unrecognisable only because of the lack of vegetation, the section where the farmer had blocked the road with a tractor was like the difference between night and day 😉
