The U.S. didn't lose the war in Afghanistan. It just left as it didn't benefit them being there and more strategic placements were needed. No one kicked the U.S out nor did they lose a major battle. Leaving/withdrawing and the government put in place collapsing is not the same as them losing.

What deployments? There are 2000 Russian troops at most there, very poorly equipped. Their influence on the war is minimal, it forces Ukraine to keep some troops near Odessa as a safeguard but even if Transnistria was not an issue, they would still keep troops there to prevent some sort of naval assault.

It's economically driven. News tv stations cannot afford to have reporting and analysis teams specialised in just one subject/theme, e.g. warfare, on their payrolls. After all, they provide news for free to the viewers. Tv news teams are typically known for knowing only a little about a lot and rarely much about anything, thus only able to report and analyse superficially and generically. Some newspapers and magazines are able and willing to provide more depth, even on more than one subject. Subscriptions to those cost substantially more. Which explains why the poor generally are less well informed than the wealthy. The poor increasingly have to work a lot harder to find things out and spend more time doing so, only to get properly informed. So huzzah for KZbin and its small group of serious and high quality content creators.

A great video as always, unfortunately I have to disagree with some points "-Mobilization has not yet had an effect" I would say this is pretty easy to disprove, since the Russians fully mobilized Ukraine hasn't been able to go on an offensive and the fronts have been relatively stable for the past few months. Compared to before when it looked like Russia was so thinned out they might have to withdraw even more by winter. Now Russia has the manpower to make small pushes in certain areas. I'd also be VERY cautious with the "Russia is running out of X" lines that have been going on; in this case cruise missiles. Russia was trying to cripple Ukraine during the winter, which is now over, so its logical for them to hold off on launching massive strikes as often as possible to stockpile for their next missile campaign. Not necessarily running out but instead not shooting everything they have for no benefit. Those claims that Russia is going to run out of a thing have been going on since last spring from artillery barrels to generals, and yet they never run out.* Don't forget Russia is a powerful country, a rather incompetent one but still, don't fall into the trap of thinking they're some generic Hollywood bad guys, they're still powerful and they'll adapt to their failures and be stronger for it. At the start of this war NATO troops were the worlds combat experts, no one in the world had more combat experience than the US. Now, after a year of constant combat I'd imagine that Russia and Ukraine are likely the worlds experts in conventional warfare. *OBV doesn't apply to artillery ammo which historically everyone always runs low on in every war ever.

Good points all, but everyone knows that if all the West's military resources are simultaneously deployed at Russia's there can only be 2 outcomes. 1) Nuclear war or 2) Russian capitulation. The question today is simply how much irritation will either side endure before some type of negotiated peace is determined. Putin, Xi and Khamenei all know their "tail" isn't strong enough to wag this particular dog into submission. But, that's not the goal. The goal is to wear the dog down so it'll obey commands to be named later. The aforementioned have to endure 21 months...can they? Probably, but will they?

The first point of the Chinese peace proposal, "Respecting the sovereignty of all countries", is the same as the first point of the 1994 Budapest Memorandum signed by Russia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and the United States: "Respect the signatory's independence and sovereignty in the existing borders." Russia broke that agreement, so why should anybody expect them to honor another peace pact? BTW, the Budapest Memorandum is the main reason why the US is giving military and economic aid to Ukraine, as it has an obligation to honor. Ukraine gave up nuclear weapons is exchange for this guarantee, and the US must help Ukraine if it wants to keep its word. China is watching carefully to see if it can take Taiwan without a fight, so it's not just an abstract matter of honor, it's a very practical policy.

@@miloradnigic101 Hey Serbian, you're nobody to accuse the US of warmongering when it was you effing clowns who turned the Balkans into a hellhole in 1991. If the US intervened it was because you staryed the fire. Your "Greater Serbia" death cult had little to envy from the Nazis. Now you pretend you were not the founders of the "Remove kebab" trend? Not surprising you would support your daddy Putin, he embodies everything wrong with Eastern Europe. YOU disrespected the sovereignity of your neighbours, now suck it and cope. Hope Kosovo keeps kicking your asses until you wake up from your lunacy and finally behave like humans.

One mind. Russian airforce failed due to Ukrainian mid - and long-range air defenses such as S300 and BUK, not because small and portable stingers and Gepards. Gepards are not even used against russian air forces. It is longer ranged weapons that forced russian aircraft to fly low and inside range of those hand-held weapons.
