Thanks for the directions Paul. Just a few days ago I found a Breadman Ultimate TR2200C at Goodwill for $15 with two baking pans within the machine for some reason. I completely disassembled it and cleaned it thoroughly just to be sure. We baked bread for the first time and the bread is fantastic. I used 4 cups of King Arthur flour and the only difference in our recipe was that i used Silk unsweetened vanilla almond milk instead of genuine milk as we did not have any. I also used bread machine quick-rise yeast. Our bread loaf was massive, it got so large that it was actually touching the lid within the machine - why do you think that is? Also, when the machine was kneading, I had to add additional vanilla almond milk because the machine was bogging down. It seemed as though the dough was too sticky or thick or large or whatnot and kept the kneading paddle from working occasionally. I'm just wondering where we went wrong in regards to having TOO many ingredients in the machine as we followed your recipe exactly minus the difference in milk. Thanks again.
@oldguyАй бұрын
I would back off the yeast just a bit and see how it fares.
@Guillotines_For_GlobalistsАй бұрын
@@oldguy I can try but do you know how much less I should used? For 4 cups of flour I used 3 teaspoons of bread machine yeast. Also do you have any idea why my dough seemed to be too "sticky" and was bogging down my machine? Was this the result of using almond milk vs. regular milk or is my motor weak?
@oldguyАй бұрын

So I got one of these f from my ex mother in law... I just pulled it out today to try it. When I look through the little window, it looks like my dough is pushed to one side of the pan.. it's in the rise stage right now but I'm not sure if that's what it's supposed to do?

Yeah during the kneading phase the ball of dough may push to one side. How did it turn out? Hopefully the ex MIL didnt gift you a bum one...

@@oldguy It ended up turning out amazing!! She was going to get rid of it because she didn't make bread anymore and knew I wanted to start making bread. I may go light crust next time, for me the medium was a little too crunchy but my husband loved it as is. :) I'm definitely going to put it to use more often

and honestly we were both worried it wouldn't turn out good because it's older.. I'm glad we were proven wrong!

Why put the yeast one one side n salt on ither?

I hear if they touch like in one pile, the salt doesnt let the yeast work fully.
