I've used neem oil before to combat aphids infestations on my pepper plants, with success. Adding baking soda sounds like a good tip ! Will try it out.

The green and black caterpillar you showed is a monarch butterfly or swallowtail butterfly -- not a pest! Thanks for the recipe for mildew!

Hello Mr Balcony Gardener, two things - you alluded to worms as something to get rid of and featured an earthworm. Sir, earthworms are certainly not pests and, on the contrary, play VERY NECESSARY and IMPORTANT roles in the soil. The second thing is, I wish you indicated what effect(s) baking soda has on pests.
