Moved into a house that was completely infested with fleas, ticks and roaches. I used an old box fan in high, a flower sifter and poured the backing soda into the sifter and bumped it a few times in front of the fan. It blew that backing soda everywhere. I did this to every room. I then mixed the backing soda with powdered sugar and sprinkled it on all the counter tops and in all the cabinets. A week later i came back and there were Zero bugs, ticks and fleas. For good measure, I cleaned it all up and did it again. Waited another week, cleaned it up and moved in. Pest free home.

Totally works. I live in a 20+ year old apartment complex (in Texas) that is on a preservation. They recently renovated the balconies. Roaches and ants literally came out of the woodwork. Baking soda took care of them along with spiders…within 2 weeks. I saw less of all each day. I am grateful for baking soda. Abundant Blessings everyone ✨😇✨

How did you use it?
@Sacred_Heart33323 күн бұрын
@ Namasté, I put some mixed with xylitol as I did not have sugar (many say powdered works best) in areas I saw ants. This was very effective. Ants were trailing to and from my Zero Water filter pitcher. They were always inside, crawling around the filter. I even set a little container of filtered water near their entrance to deter them from my filter, they ignored it and kept going for the filter. When I changed out the filter, I set the old one up in a container for them, they loved that lol…so something in those filters draws them in. I started adding limonene oil to the water (in the pitcher) as it filtered…simply for extra purification. I was pleasantly surprised and elated that the oil COMPLETELY got rid of the ants. Apparently, they hate it even more than cinnamon and other oils. So now I keep my counters etc wiped down with it as well as adding some to the mop water for the floors. I added it to the spray bottle and spray this periodically around doors and toe kick. I do not like to kill but I was overwhelmed and needed/wanted all creepy crawlers evicted which is why I initially used the baking soda. I used only baking soda in every carpeted room, under ALL appliances in the kitchen, along doorways etc. To this day, I only see a rando ant (thank goodness that’s all) and when I do, it’s limonene oil to the rescue and 💨…they are gone. I hope you find a solution that works for you. Divine Blessings✨😇✨

Hey just wanted to tell everyone about how to naturally get rid of termites! You need colloidal silver! It kills termites and other bugs right away! It is actually used by professionals for termite treatment and prevention and what they do is get a small long and thin plastic tube and fill it with silver and place a stick inside it and leave the top of it off and stick in the ground near the outside of the home. They usually place a bunch of them all around the house. I would spray the entire outside of the home with silver and continue to maintain that until they are gone and then maybe once a month for Maintence are wards. It will also keep out other pests and bugs too especially ants!

Yep i used that for bed bugs
@btricksey2 ай бұрын
@@erinkalb9523hi, DE is not toxic to them, like peppermint oil for example. You have to take some precaution when applying, as inhaling the dust is irritating - but not toxic. Once it's safely settled on the ground cats can be let into that room. Also good idea to wear a mask while dusting around. It's in fact safe enough to use on cats/dogs fur to naturally kill fleas and ticks if they have them. DE works not in a chemical way; the tiny parts of diatomaceous earth are extremely small remnants of some ancient sea creatures, and these tiny particles are extremely sharp - these tiny dust particles get under the external parts of insects (fleas, bed bugs, roaches, ants, etc.) and basically cut them. The insects then die from these cuts. As for contact with human or pets skin: this powder dries out our skin yes, so want to be careful if deciding to use it. Personally I prefer this over heavy and harsh chemicals, whenever possible. I have found this very effective against ants in the summer indoors, given that not a single pesticide is safe for cats. I inquired several companies about what they use, also the popular DIY stuff that can be ordered online. These all contain the 'safe for pets' pyrethrins and pyrethroids; Cats are unable to metabolize (break down) these agents quickly and efficiently due to their peculiar liver metabolism. Safe with dogs, toxic to cats. So diatomaceous earth is still a safer option:) I know I wrote in length (sorry lol) but wanted to help with some info a fellow cat owner.

I would come into the kitchen in the middle of the night and turn on the lights and found one ant under the toaster. Since then, nothing. After a couple of weeks I spread the cloves outside under the window and fresh cloves on the counter tops. I have since removed them and cleaned up. @Hey_OverHere4 ай бұрын
This is a good trick! However, the soap breaks the water’s surface tension and that causes the flies to sink. Normally, they’re able to stand on the surface, but the soap chemically changes the composition of the water with a corresponding lower surface tension.

What a great and helpful video, thank you so much for this. I have saved this for future reference. I really like using baking soda, vinegar and salt for killing weeds and moss.

NYC homeowner, lately, I'm finding live waterbugs in my kitchen drain. Luckily, because I have a sink drain strainer they haven't surfaced and I've been able to spray them with B-Gon killer on the spot but I had to do this constantly. Going to try this...TY

OMG growing up in NYC the huge damn crunchy waterbugs gross me out 🤢 In my first solo apartment, I had a claw foot tub with an open drain…the damn things would crawl out of it as I was ready to get in and shower 😱 I’d turn the water to boiling and scream Die Die and let your friends learn from this!! I’ve never had that type of open drain since!!

Thank you for much needed information. We have a major issue with Japanese Beetles. They look similar to lady bugs but orangeish brown in color. They bite too. I'm trying this today!

Using a cornbread mixed half & half with baking soda really works for me on killing mice! Also try diatomaceous earth puff sprayed in cracks & crevices for killing bugs.

Thank you for all the information. Im going to put your stink bug remedy to the test as soon as it stops raining. I dont know though i may just go ahead and spray inside around every window and door because im sick of those things coming in everyday.
