Almond Cream (Frangipane) is one of those quick-to-make, essential recipes that can really save the day in a pinch. 🌟
W️ith a handful of pantry ingredients you can fill tarts, pastries, croissants.... and more! All delicately sweetened, buttery, beautifully golden brown, and deliciously nutty.
The process is simple: mix some butter and sugar, add an egg, then stir in ground almonds, a little salt, a pinch of cinnamon if you like (I do), and vanilla or almond extract.
Flavor variations:

Almond Cream
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, room temp.
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla or 1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 1/4 cups almond flour (finely ground almonds)
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. Kosher salt
Pinch of ground cinnamon
Instructions:
1. Beat to combine butter and sugar until smooth.
2. Add eggs one at a time, mixing to combine between each addition.
3. Add remaining ingredients and beat until uniform, 1-2 minutes.
It’s ready to use when you are! Refrigerate until needed, and bring to room temp. to spread or pipe into a tart shell, croissant, or pastry before baking.
