Bakkies and Victor one of the best lock pairings in the history of the sport 💯

Scariest player I ever played against was Jan Tredoux, loosehead in SA. He used to meet you in the first scrum with a hit to the head, and say don't cry now because you still have 80 minutes of it coming.
@RRSmurf2 жыл бұрын
As a Saffer... Jerry Collins in the toughest 'clean' player I've seen. I am a Bulls fan, and I think Bakkies was a brilliant lock. But when I saw him try take out Gio Aplon in a ruck, I lost a ton of respect for him as a player.

I didnt like that either,or trying to dislocate Rory Cockotts knee.But I did rather enjoy how Ben Kay thought he was hard by cleaning one of our guys out then Bakkies made him fly from the ruck.

I’ve seen bakies back down to one man, and he is more feared than Henry Tuilagi and that was Trevor Leota. When Trevor debuted for Samoa for the last 20 minutes he knocked out 4 Tongan players. He was the reason they abolished the shoulder charge in union.

@@asghaabjob9603 I agree, in the 80`s punches were flying all over the place, it made a great day out for the spectators. Very few players were totally destroyed in a punch up cos they knew how to defend themselves. The TMO is killing the modern game, 4 minutes of replays and they still, too often, get the decision wrong. No-one can challenge in the air anymore and the worst is a player standing up to an attacker and taking a full brunt collision is seen as a high tackle even if the arms wrap. Bla Bla, player safety and long term effects from concussion, so what, they chose the sport for financial gain, bring it on. The players know when there is foul play in a ruck, if some guy grabs your nuts, he IS going down, screw the ref. We need on field justice. Reduce the amount of games the modern players are expected to play, let the bodies recover but most of all "Let the bodies hit the floor".
