I remember when malls in America used to look like this in the 70's, 80's, 90's. Now, most malls are closed, the ones that are left are ghost towns or dangerous because of gang fights and looting gangs. This brings back so many memories of what it used to be like. 😞

Wow Sergei! Here in Rochester, New York State, most of our malls have died or are in the process of dying off. The mall buildings are empty or being repurposed - one being undergoing construction for a local hospital to create new offices and clinics. Some of the dying off was from theft of items and stores could not make a profit, so they left. The people stealing the items are mostly from lower economic class - but still, it's more about greed and moral decay in society than actual need; there are so many welfare programs and the items being stolen were not necessities and/or cheaper alternative items are available. The mall stores are also dying because there is so much shopping online now too. This Russian mall looks busier than I've ever seen our malls and the people are so well dressed and well mannered.

This is amazing! People are shoulder-to-shoulder in the mall, and sanctions mean nothing! Meanwhile here in America, we don't go to the mall because 1)Not enough money in the economy (and many job losses, including my husband); and 2) Amazon took over. Also, in my town, the mall died. Now they want to make it into a gambling center, ugh! Poor people will go there and lose what they have left!

And too many gang fights in our malls.
@TheCrackupboom10 ай бұрын
Yes, gambling is considered by those who understand money flow, as a tax on poor people as they are the ones who finance the gambling establishments and lotto games for the most part. When I was young, it was illegal except for Vegas. Ambulance chasing was also illegal as lawyers couldn't advertise back in the 60s and 70s. A financialized economy rather than a productive economy creates these types of malign influences.

With Elvira Nabiullina as your central bank Governor, you have nothing to worry about. The West has engaged in foolish debt creation which has financialized its operations to the point it can only produce one thing for export, for the most part, debt. Given the "Cantillon Effect", the top 1 percent (Government Officials and Controllers) have had the ability to use the debt markets to enrich themselves while destroying the fabric of society as little is produced for export other than debt. Russia has no debt and that is why a financialized West can't use debt as a weapon against Russia. Putin understood this as he has transformed himself from a Soviet Man to a Competitive man, a chess player so to speak. The failed West has transformed itself from a Competitive Man to a Soviet Man or should we say a "Sick Man".

also, young folks buy vintage cloths now because it is cheaper and fun... you can make nice combinations with old clothers and new clothes, you have vintage stores too? And black owned labels are now trendy
