The worst part is when they are called out on all that they have no qualms telling you that their "work" to save the world is urgent and worth it...unlike anything that you are wasting your time and effort on. They have no idea how hypocritical they are. Politburo members....oops, Climate Alarmists are afforded those things because they are more important and better than you. Orwell was correct, "some animals are more equal than others" I think we should be good stewards of our environment and the fact of the matter it is cleaner and better protected (at least in T USA and probably the whole of the western world) now than at any other time in my life. I remember when Lake Erie was feared "dead" because the pollution was so bad it could not recover, the smog was so thick and oppressive in Los Angeles that it made Beijing skys look clean and clear, and I remember 707's climbing out deafening people a long distance away while blackening the sky so heavily that many miles away people could smell them after they passed overhead. But try having that conversation with a young person and they'll look at you in disbelief like you have two heads, and tell you don't know what you're talking about. That tells me that the Climate Evangelical Preachers have been successful at convincing young people to send them money because it's only right they fly around in private jets. People that tell you the Climate Alarmists are not a cult are not looking at the topic objectively.

Let me understand. We need to get to net zero, but China, India, Mexico and Africa don't need to get there? But even if we do, the climate will continue to go and continue to be weather? So why don't we just ignore the Chicken little crowd.

Dear Dr John, A few years ago my mother-in-law wanted to visit her childhood home. Their home was in a less than desirable area of Milwaukee WI. The area was dominated by industry and the rail yards. As a small child her and her sisters were instructed to walk along the tracks and look for coal that fell from the trains. This was there primary sourse of home heat. The poverty of the neighborhood meant that the children were in competition for the coal. Today young children search under the wind generators for bits of fiberglass to keep warm. Affordable energy certainty would have benefitted them. Now think of Africa we're reliable energy is a Christmas wish.😢
@ClimateDN3 күн бұрын
And I guess today if kids are bad at this time of year they get a lump of fiberglass rather than coal in their stocking. (One of my kids actually got me a tree ornament that's a lump of coal one year. I must update it.)

As far as I know there has never been a country/economy that has successfully diversified away from reliance on hydrocarbons. It's not about the money. It is about the people and the system. In the first half of the 20th century, the US was the largest oil producer and had been for over half a century. The difference was that it was already a diversified economy and remains so today. Compare that to Russia, which grew into a large oil and gas exporter after the fall of the Soviet Union. The expertise that built up that industry was foreign. Russia, even before the war in Ukraine, was not an industrial powerhouse.
