I love how when Hal-G appears he literally announces himself because the audience is composed of 6-year olds who can't remember names. There's also a giant hal-g hologram, which is unexplained. I love how dumb the characters are. Like Hal-G literally explains what happened, then Dan's like "Oh! So that's why Hal-G exists and Masquerade is Alice!" Immediately after the explanation. Brilliant writing!

The best twist of any plot ever, the most innocent benevolent kind and modest girl with the cleanest heart had the main antagonist as her very own alter ego, couldnt imagine when i saw the series back in 2009. There was just one short hint that she didnt brawl ever despite knowing so well abt bakugans but that cd never give me a hint as to who masquerade was ever. Another very unique twist was in b daman cross fire where the innocent kind little boy rudi sumeragi who idolised riki the protagonist and wanted to be just like him, instantly developed his alter ego which became the main antagonist of the series because of the brainwashing he went thru by the evil bdaman. But this twist of alice being masquerade is the best ive seen in any film, series or cartoon.

In DID, the person's physical appearance doesn't change at all, just the personality does, it wd hv been DID if Alice retained her physical appearance but had a different evil twisted personality. But this was a completely different physical entity with a different voice and appearance and gender too, apart from evil persona. This was an alter ego.

I kinda had a feeling Alice and Masquerade were one and the same. They always hit you with these plot twists. After watching so many mystery shows and movies, I've learned there is always a plot twist. Like with Scooby-Doo, it's always the ones you least suspect, that's why I pay special attention to the least likely culprits. Alice not knowing she was working for the bad guys: Genius.

Now.... I know that this is an old show and I shouldn't have an issue with it since it was a kids show, but.... There were so many things that infuriated me about Masquerade's and Alice's character development. There are good characters and everything, but what infuriates me is that... Well, Masquerade just suddenly turns good. Why?! Why was that a sudden thing. Here is what I would've done. I would've kept everything going, but... I would have ended season one there. Season 2 would have been to find Alice, so that they could take on Naga with all six attributes while Alice is finding a way to control herself and have stronger willpower than Masquerade. Masquerade would have taken control and tried to battle the battle brawlers more, but he would keep losing, because slowly, but surely... Alice would be able to fight back for control. Heck, at one point, Alice regains control, takes off the mask and saves Dan and the gang. Then, Alice and Masquerade would have a battle inside of themselves, but... Unlike the fake Alice and Masquerade battle, Alice would win and instead of banishing him... She would ask him to help the brawlers... Which he accepts and does so. Then they can go as far as they did. I know this seems like rough draft writing, but honestly... I just wanted to let this out. There are other things I would've done as well, but I think I'll just write this much for now.
