Percival Is easily my favorite new Bakugan partner for a non og brawler. His name, design, voice and abilities go hard and even his evolution looks amazing. Shame Ace really never gets to be a good rival to Dan but hey at least his Bakugan is badass

I wouldn’t compare him to hydranoid but he did not get time to shine. It was set up in the beginning that Ace was the hotshot I would’ve liked to seen him and ace butt heads more, like it would’ve been cool if after fighting Spectra after they got the elemental energies that ace challenged Dan, citing a lot of the unknowns and how he should risk the pyrus energy going against Helios. They could’ve brawled over that which would be neat. Ace would’ve been driven by a combination of fear and a desire to keep Mira safe

Been a LONG while since I've seen the full show or season 2, but Ace was great rival successor to Shun for Dan and I can't remember if Shun and Ace actually brawled against each other but it definitely would've been sick. God I miss the legacy series. Honestly even deserves a movie or ova treatment. Not sure if you're familiar with the first 3 Yugioh series, but they had a movie of all the first 3 protagonists meeting each other and honestly I think that would be cool for Bakugan, or since it's a "new" Dan each time, maybe something multiversal.
