People don't actually listen to what Nick says about Lamar Jackson. Everything he's said about Lamar has been consistent & correct but people hear what they want to hear. Smh

@@aneesabashir8496 for some reason Lamar’s fans are so sensitive it’s getting cringe atp. Every athlete in history that shows greatness in the regular season gets crushed if they consistently underperform that standard in the playoffs. And rightly so. But Lamar fans will act like you have a personal vendetta against him it’s sad. You can’t be the worst version of yourself if the biggest moments and expect no one to criticize that 🤷♂️

Incorrect.. he just said himself that the number 1 draft pick for biggest games are playoff games but he never mentions there were 2 playoff games last year. One game Lamar had 4 TD in a blowout win and the other was against the Chiefs where he had 272 yards 1 TD 1 pick against a team that Nick says has a better QB, better coach, better defense. Also Zay Flowers fumbled at the 1 yard line. The narrative doesn't take into account the change in philosophy and offensive coordinator, I guarantee Lamar looks a lot better the rest of his career in the post season

Nick said Ravens would miss the playoffs this year and last. Then crushed Lamar because he "only" made it to AFC championship game after saying CJ stroud & Caleb Williams is better than Lamar. So no he isn't always right.

there is simply no world where Lamar’s games against the middling Steelers led by Mason Rudolph in some random early 2020s October can be classified as definitively bigger than Lamar vs Joe and the Bengals in prime time or Lamar vs Josh Allen in prime time. it just doesn’t make sense, regardless of the historical rivalry.

also, Nick just flat out lied about his Herbert take. during the offseason, Nick put Herbert AND Stafford above Lamar and had Lamar as the 7th best QB.

I wonder if the stat watchers who were so obsessed with Mahomes starting 6 TD-8 INT will notice that he’s quietly been 12 TD-3 INT the past 5 weeks. And at 10-1 he has a sneaky chance to backdoor his way into the MVP race if he finishes with something like 32 TD 13 INT team 16-1.. that would break so many people’s brains 🤣

but i LOVE the lazy banal Thanksgiving food ranking content! i don't care how many times it's been done, i'm still here for it every time .....by the way, sweet potatoes are overrated, cranberry sauce is terrible, turkey is always good (it's a great delivery vehicle for gravy) but ham is better if you get the actual shank from a butcher as opposed to those pressed fake hams from the grocery store....even as a Canadian i celebrate the USA Thanksgiving even more than our own lol Happy Turkey Day, America🏈🏈🦃

People who say "there's no way the Chiefs hold things back and don't flip the switch till the playoffs" don't understand how many more games they have played than every other team, because every year they're at least in the AFC Championship. There's more tape on them for teams to study. They almost have to play these kinds of mind games to make up for that.
@waterbottle3740 минут бұрын
I think there is some validity to the Lamar getting tight in the playoffs. However I think the more important factor is good run stopping defenses. Houston, played Baltimore tight twice last year, Pittsburgh and KC are very top end run defenses. (Also has the added bonus of explaining why the Ravens go away from the run in those games)

25:30 i know this is kind of nitpicking, but idk how anyone who watched that 2021 chargers-raiders game live like i did could watch that entire 4th quarter and possibly say Herbert played bad. his numbers were 34/64 383 yds 3 TD 1 INT, his completion percentage is obviously a bit low but when you're trying to make a 15-point 4th quarter comeback in 5 minutes and you're throwing on every down i'd say the low completion percentage isn't unexpected. if you haven't watched the game or the highlights, its a truly unbelievable game given the circumstances and i think saying herbert played poorly because he lost is a bit of revisionist history.

If Luka D were to win the regular season MVP but come the playoffs didn’t pass and trust his teammates to make plays. We would say Luka has to pass more and trust his guys to make shots. Same with Lamar, when the Ravens are running the ball effectively Lamar is one of the best QB’s you can have. If you don’t he’s not as effective, not hard to understand.

Lamar doesn’t play bad against the Chiefs. He wasn’t good in the AFC title game, but the other games he played great. They just lost. And the way he brings up the Steelers as “big rivals” and not the Bengals is just stupid.

Nick, nobody disputes Lamar playoff woes. Your problem is you lead with that during preseason and continue all the way through the postseason. If he is cheeks during preseason then fine, proclaim your doubts and misgiving during the playoffs. All we get from you is , " Yeah he won, but he's going to choke in the playoffs."

What do you expect? People should just forget about Lamar underperforming in the playoffs? When it happens every year, seeing him come out and roll through teams in the regular season naturally becomes less impressive, you can’t make people pretend their perceptions aren’t changed. It’s like watching James Harden drop a 60 point triple-double in January after I just watched him choke to the Spurs and Warriors. It’s not impressive anymore, everyone is just going to yawn and roll their eyes until he does it when it counts

Nick"s take on Herbert is one of the most assanine things I heard in a long time because you are blaming Herbert for losing to the Raiders in 2021 in Overtime, when you are running for your life the whole game, and you are down 15 points with 5 minutes to go in the game, somehow you go 6 for 6 on 4th down, force overtime basically having to throw the ball 64 times because no running game and your defense was awful but somehow they force overtime and you call that a bad game for Herbert, SMH. The next point is the second half against Trevor, they couldn't run the ball, his defense was awful and.in both cases they same guy as head coach and quite possibly the worst coaching staffs in NFL history, and so how is this Herbert fault. third point, this team is ahead of schedule, this defense needs to add some beef on the defensive line, on offense they need their interior offensive line needs an upgrade, not to mention a deep threat WR, and yes I also have Herbert ahead of Burrow.

I’m frustrated that his Lamar take is rooted in minimizing Lamar to prop up Mahommes (whom I also think is the future goat)
@DannycuddyСағат бұрын
Nah I don’t think Nick is scared of Lamar. The problem with this is if he wanted to prop up Mahomes via Lamar, he would actually be singing Lamar’s praises so he could say Mahomes went against elite competition. This is what he did for LeBron by constantly pumping up Steph Curry (who Nick was actually scared of). Puts him in a no-lose situation where if his guy loses, it was against elite competition, but if his guy wins it’s even better. So yeah, nah Nick isn’t scared of Lamar or he’d be hyping him, like he does for Josh Allen and Burrow. That’s who Nick actually fears more

@chrisclark274746 минут бұрын
He's been very consistent on this. Initially, he noted the playoffs. Then he noted any game against KC. Then he noted Pittsburgh. The point has remained the same. In the biggest moments, Lamar has been a shadow of himself. It is what it is until he makes it different.
@DJRamrod740 минут бұрын
@ I agree he’s been consistent… consistently moving the goal posts because he’s for some reason more unfair with Lamar than any other quarterback. Go back and listen to his comment about mvp. “Josh, then saquon, then a massive drop off?? That doesn’t make sense my guy. Don’t forget Lamar just smashed the bills. If the ravens win agains saquon is that a “big” enough game? Does saquon stay above him in his mvp standings?
@mattcarberry36817 минут бұрын
so you actually think a midseason Monday Night game against an unproven Chargers team is a "big game" in relation to a playoff game or playing the Chiefs or Steelers (their biggest rivals for years, especially Pittsburgh) ??????? lol clearly you haven't paid attention to what the take actually is
@DJRamrod713 минут бұрын
@ I didn’t realize a regular season game agains duck Hodges and mason rudolph were bigger games than against a rising team in the afc, against a top 5 qb, away from home, MNF.. got it.
@chrisclark27472 минут бұрын
@DJRamrod7 You don't get it. The Eagles game will be a big game, as was the Chargers game, as was the Bills game, as have many other games in which Lamar has played well and won. But it isn't close to the biggest game the Ravens will play this season. Their biggest games so far were Week 1 against the Chiefs, in which, to be fair, Lamar played awesome, but he did lose a fumble and came up short in the biggest moment to ultimately lose, and the Steelers game in which he was bad and they lost. The next biggest games will be Week 16 v. Pittsburgh, maybe Week 18 depending on what it means for the playoffs, and the playoffs. He will have the opportunity to change the narrative then. And it's not like he's terrible in all of the biggest games, but he's bad in most, meanwhile in most other games he's incredible. That's the point. And yes, at the moment with his team at 8-4, second in the AFC North, it's not close between Saquon, Allen and Lamar for MVP. Sunday's game might change that depending on what happens with Buffalo and Pittsburgh. It's hard to win MVP as a QB if you don't at least win your division.

Just about how bad or average you have been with the record in the NFL and you are in your prime and you are not in the MVP discussion but they just practice right… what a joke of a take… QBs are Diva they want it all and bring A game every game, stop with that nonsense they practice…

Nick is part of the problem. QBs have been getting credit for wins and no hate for losses for years. When Mahomes lost the Super Bowl it was his o-line(who was bad) Lamar loses and it’s oh his coaching but on the flip side people say Herbert hasn’t accomplished anything yet he’s been part of one the most inconsistent and cursed franchise in the nfl. The only qb I remember who was actively criticized for not winning the big one was peyton. Mahomes always gets a pass and the media is divided on Lamar
@Dannycuddy49 минут бұрын
Buddy do you even hear yourself? Yeah Mahomes got a pass for his decimated o-line IN THE SUPER BOWL as a 3rd yr starter 😂 Lamar’s never even been to one in 6 years. And Mahomes had already won a ring and was proven at that time. Not to mention the Chiefs mediocre defense forced Mahomes to make 3 double-digit playoff comebacks including being down 24-0. If Lamar was out here going on these crazy clutch runs he would also get a pass for some losses bro, that’s literally how it works 😂
