Before and after results are the last 30 seconds of the video.
I combined the short 2 inch bolts from both kits in order to install the rear stabilizer mounts. These are normally used on the end of the stabilizing bars which attach to the jack, so I had to modify the mounts by drilling the holes slightly bigger. On the front stabilizer mounts I used the self tapping screws that also came in the package.
You may have to modify the steps I performed in order to make it work for your specific camper.
Feel free to ask any questions about the installation if you need clarification.

This is the way DIY videos should be done: no talking, no BS opinions, clearly shows how it is all done and sped up so that I don’t waste half my life watching the video. Great job!

Great video. I have 2 sets of the bals and 2 sets of the strongarms for a total of 8 on my camper. Maybe a little overkill lol

Love your style man! Your very meticulous in your work, great job! But why did you install the one set on the upper part of the I beam and the other on the lower section?

The black tank was in the way of me using the lower portion of the I beam on the rear set.

Thanks for the video. How did you decide how far to mount in? I have a TALL camper - Jayco Baja. And the front jacks are mounted quite a ways in towards the back from the front of the frame. I don't want to get to a campsite on a big hill and not be able to fully extend my scissor jack because of where I mounted to the frame. But it seems like the further in the more stable it would be..

Why not install them front-to-back as well side-to-side?
@garrettscott9427
@garrettscott9427 6 жыл бұрын
Great question Stephen. In my situation I only have issues with side-to-side movement. The camper is solid front-to-back.
@harryohrn6051
@harryohrn6051 5 жыл бұрын
@@garrettscott9427 If you look at how the stock stabilizers are attached you will see that side to side movement occurs because of the way the stabilizers are mounted . The mounts allow side to side movement because of their orientation. They don't do forward to back movement as easily due, once again, to the way they are attached. The oreintation is the same for the foot. these are a poor design but are chiefly meant more to keep the unit level than to keep it stable.
@garrettscott9427
@garrettscott9427 5 жыл бұрын
@@harryohrn6051 the stabilizers should never be used to level the trailer. The trailer doesn't do forward to back movement easily due to the tires being chalked, the front electric jack is down, and the frame is more rigid back to front as compared to side to side.

Mounting them like that doesn’t look like they’d make much of a difference to stop the camper from rocking front to back. That’s our issue and why I want these.

I would highly recommend x-chocks for that situation.

Projects For The Commoner It’s an outdoors RV same people who make arctic fox , design for off road , when I use the stabilizers which is the screw down it stays pretty still I would think that would be a good idea for the bigger rv

Well done sir. Did you notice much difference while walking around inside? It was hard for me to tell with the before and after split screen. Quick question....please forgive my ignorance as I am new to RV's (just got ours last weekend...woot woot!), but shouldn't one have a stabilizer bar going to each jack for both front-back & side-side motion control? Or is your way sufficient? Thanks again.
@garrettscott9427
@garrettscott9427 5 жыл бұрын
Congrats on the new camper! I noticed a significant improvement in side-to-side stabilization. I've never had too much of an issue with front to back movement, but if you are having that issue I think x-chocks would be a good investment.

Jesus, this seems like complete overkill to me. Unless your full time parked, x-chocks work great. The workmanship was spot on though, so good job there.
