I'm half indian half arab...I started buzz cutting from like the age of 19, and I remember at the time my parents hated it, I used to get the whole u look like a thug talk lol..but honestly it's a look that always suited me...at the age of 30 my hair naturally started to thin and fall out..but there has been such a massive shift in the British Asian culture that I dont think it's an issue here in England, but I feel in india it would be an issue as highlighted in the trailer of the movie...I'd love to rock a beard like yours but my facial hair growth has never been a thing for me..honestly I shave my face once a week that's how slow it grows haha Keep up the great channel and I can see it getting even bigger in 2020

My uncle always rubbed his finger nails together to promote hair growth. I did it hoping it would work, ignoring the fact he was still bald. Thanks for showing the film, going to give it a watch.

Sadly this is how hair loss is viewed in India and other countries where hair is put on a pedestal. I know when guys enbrace and accept their baldness then the perception will change.

I am 21 years old from India. I have been balding since I was in 10th grade. "Genetics!" I tried many tropical treatments and remedies. None of them worked. I'm still balding. Your videos inspired me. And I am just waiting for my beard to grow a little in length [the only facial hair which, (touch wood) grows well], and then I will shave off my full head. Thank you for your videos. It helped me make my mother know that shaving off my head at this age won't look bad. Instead people will more readily accept me, with the look. The look is acceptable only for elderly people as you said in India. And that finger nail running thing, is an ayurvedic treatment called Balayalam. I wish you all the best for what you are doing to help people with Baldcafe

I wouldn’t worry too much about your beard growing. I recently shaved my head and I’ve had a thick beard around 3 inches long which I’m more comfortable with than the super long 8 inch beard I’ve had before. I’m considering shaving my beard right down now that i’ve shaved my head. I always thought you’ve got to have a nice sized beard with a bald head. But look at people like Jason Statham and pep Guardiola. They look great with just a stubble. Just make sure you’re comfortable with having no hair. I found it quite difficult as i felt very on show and unlike a lot of the guys in these videos. Nobody said it looked good or anything, just the response of laughing or “.... oh ok, why’d you do that”.

@@jedlee8326 that's what I said. My mother is not ok with the idea, but my father says shaving head will make my life a little hassle free. And I convinced my mother that I surely will shave head and it will suit me naturally. So yeah, kind of fortunate I am.

India doesn't take hair loss well. Generally, balding isn't seen attractive. The pressure isn't only on men but also Indian women are expected to have long silky hair. If you cut your hair it's like your cutting relations. Some religions in India also don't permit hair cutting and traditionally when people 'brought shame upon their families' they would have their hair shaved off as a gesture of dignity loss. Historically. So hair loss is frowned upon. The friction of the knuckle thing I believe is meant to be a yoga 🧘♂️ move (balyaam). It is believed that the friction of the nerves by rubbing your nails will reduce hair loss and regenerate hair growth. There are some good videos and articles on beauty in different countries. India has always been known for skin fairness and hair. You'll never see tanning salons. They just aren't appealing. Hair transplant clinics (whether they are successful or not for that individual) are everywhere in India. I'm a scalp micropigmentation practitioners wife and often help with the administration. The most common concern we see consistently from our India based clients is the apprehension to shave their hair (even when their already on a Norwood Scale 6 and 7). We now know we need to spend longer with our clients in India before committing to travel to Chandigarh because we have to often reset expectations that Scalp Micropigmentation will not grow your hair back but provides the illusion of short hair and optimal results are provided to those that shave shorter. Needless to say we lose many clients because they're seeking a full head of hair. There is a lot of pressure on men in India. People look upto Bollywood stars and hardly any of them embrace their hair loss. So it's a brilliant step that this movie raises awareness about hair loss and what men have to go through. My husband Jay and I need to see this movie because we really want to understand all the different methods people try and the emotions people feel. There are many cultural, religious, societal and financial pressures on men in India to have a good head of hair especially young men. There are some artists now that are embracing a completely bald look, but not many of them. But it's a slow change that I'm sure will bring positivity to many lives.

Ahahaha. There was one time I tried doing onion juice on my hair. I blendered an onion and applied it before I sleep with a towel wrapped on my hair. Everybody on the house was complaining of its strong smell but I didn't care though cos I want to see some results. Then one time my long distance gf wanted to sleepover. I fetch her and during our way home she told me I smelled like sandwich! I shampooed my hair and used perfume I didn't thought she would still notice it. We still had fun but after then I stopped doing the onion juice.
