Body dismorphia from social media has really destroyed / distorted a lot of men and women's perceptions of reality. 85% of guys suffer hair loss, which isn't always Male Pattern Baldness. A lot of those dudes in the comments are in for a nasty surprise as they age.

@@monsieurwolf6122 yeah its pretty funny. Most think it's only their moms side or their dads but they can inherit it from both. There are very few people that keep all their hair. By their 20s and 30s they'll slowly lose density and not even realize it. Once they do they can lose half their density. When I was in high school and college plenty of guys started to bald. It happens. If a guy keeps hos hair into his 40s and 50s he's safer because dht starts to decrease naturally but they aren't out of the woods even at that point.

@@michaelangst6078 Of course bro but for crying out loud - you do understand this applies to EVERY facet of your character? The problem is you're framing the dating issue from the get go as a conquest to sleep with the MAXIMUM amount of girls possible. You MUST be, because baldness simply doesn't preclude you from dating. I went pretty much bald at 27/28 and was thinning for years before. Know plenty of men in similar scenario. Some of us are better looking than others but overall it averages out. All of us still found partners in that time frame. I got with my current partner when she was 24 and I was 28 and fully bald. I'm not some rich rockstar. Just a normal dude. Sure if you want the most shallow bimbo-esque tiktok girls you're probably out of luck and that's your own problem for aiming for lust over love. You'll have to compensate with physique or money/status. That is NORMAL too. There's a guy out there with perfect hair but he's short as hell and needs to compensate too. Life is about compromises and compensations. The pursuit of perfection will take anyone to depression. So ultimately you need to realise what you're looking for. But you're not making some grand point about baldness - men aren't deluding themselves that it has no consequence. Why do you think it is such a problem? It is a clear sign of mortality. But you're adding NOTHING here - just being a doom merchant. Your simply choice of hairstyle can also limit your dating pool. Get a geeky bowlcut and watch what happens. Or dress sense. Or sense of humour and banter. Instead of constantly focusing on what will detract from dating you need to focus on what good facets you have and work on them. Work on physique. Work on personality. Work on wealth. These things do not require cheating nature and taking dangerous drugs as addressing baldness does. And just accept you're not going to bang every 10/10 supermodel. Those "natural" remedies really want to exploit young men and their fears. After those 90 days you will hardly notice any effect. In this modern day we have a lot of body positivity, however, baldness seems to be neglected. What really helped me back then was seeing cool rolemodels that were bald (bruce willis, jason statham, The rock and even Kratos). i have accepted it now, if i get the chance to a hair transplant relatively cheap maybe i will, but its low priority.

Hims, Keeps and so on have been the biggest fearmongers. Luckily I saw a real dermatologist who told me what was actually happening, and not just some online service who only wanted to sell me something. Age happens. You will still be just as attractive whether you have a full head of hair, receding hair, or are completely bald. I honestly think one of the reasons why people fall for such scammers is that the proven and safe treatments (fin and min, but especially fin) are portrayed as something dangerous, and it comes down to choosing between your health and your hair. This is factually wrong (2% incidence of side effects, no proof for persistent side effects). But since people are made to believe that it comes down to choosing between your hair and your health, they look for 'alternative' treatments out of desperation. If people were just objective about finasteride, then there wouldn’t be so much fear around taking it and way less incentive to listen to such scammers. Unfortunately, you've already given into the fear-mongering yourself. I like your channel and I think it helps many people deal with baldness. I just hope you understand why I think spreading unwarranted fear about finasteride (and sometimes even minoxidil) contributes to people falling for scammers.

We should be honest. These things work because no man anywhere as a teenager said to themselves "yeah, I want to go bald". Having a full head of thick, lustrous hair is a symbol of health, youth and vitality. It's also the one aspect of your physical appearance you can change as you want. Going bald frankly makes you less attractive, not least because it dramatically ages you. There's also this sense of incredible unfairness. If it happened to *everyone* at the same age, it would be normalised. But it doesn't. We've all seen that guy of 40 or 50 and thought "why me?". Whoever comes up with the first effective way to reverse it will be a billionaire because no one will pass up on getting their hair back.

I'm genuinely sad at this reversal of trend. I felt like 5-10 years ago baldness was finally being embraced by men and becoming normalised and dare I say even cool (Walt from Breaking Bad) and men were promoting to eachother the idea of just shaving it off and embracing your new future. Focus on the things that matter like being a good man, developing a family, being healthy and fit and benefitting society. It seems like a complete 180 has happened. From cheap transplants in Turkey, men promoting the poison that is Fin/Minox across their YT channels and downplaying side effects, influencers and social media constantly showing 'transformations' where men are using toupees, concealers and so on to even seeing David Beckham openly promote hair transplant to Sean on the hot wings show thingy instead of telling him he looks good anyway. We are becoming really shallow again and it hurts. I suddenly feel conscious of my baldness this last year and I notice more people joking about it again or even cab drivers telling me why don't I go to Turkey. It is like people can't fathom why I'd accept baldness when I can take horrible drugs and go for transplants even 5 years... for what? What is the bloody point? So I look 'better'? More 'normal'? Who effing cares yet it seems the whole world does. I'm lucky I have a partner who loves me bald but I feel for these men coming up and trying to find one in this shallow world. Especially since from my observations it seems like baldness is on the rise and affecting men younger and younger. Not to mention TV constantly portrays villains and bad people as bald. It is horrendous what they're doing to us.

But its still better than being bald if you want to fight it fight.Not everyone look good bald.And to summarise everybody look better with hair
@user-wg1gd5gg7s2 ай бұрын
@@diablo4975 You missed the entire point. Life isn't about looking good constantly. You'd look better with a Fight Club physique, do you have one? You'd look better at 6ft2, are you that tall? You'd look better with perfect youthful skin, are you going to have that forever? You'd look better with classically handsome features, do you have those? You'd look better with a perfectly symmetric face, do you have one? At some point you realise you're just chasing a dragon and baldness is no different. You say fight it as if the fight is easy - you don't understand anything. The fight is as difficult as accepting it and way more dangerous. Do you even understand the side effects of Fin and Minox? I get what you're trying to say - "at least men have a chance to fight it" - but the reality is it is a losing fight for men determined to go NW5 on the baldness scale. You have to trade too much and the better lesson is to embrace it. A person with a tiny bit of thinning is a completely different case.
@user-wg1gd5gg7s2 ай бұрын
@@diablo4975 Also no, not everybody look better with hair. Your statement should be 'everybody looks better with PERFECT HAIR and PERFECT hairline'. How many men have those above age of 30? Maybe less than 10%. Almost every man I've ever seen looks BETTER BALD than BALDING. This is just a fact. So stop being so narcissistically negative. You're not helping yourself or other people. If you're at NW4/5 scale of baldness you will literally look 5 years younger instantly by shaving your hair off.

Kinda sucks to see the hairline receding. But a razorshave cleans it well up. At least i never really had to get the full courage or confidence again. Thats a plus when u did buzzcuts from 14 yo lol

I see so many HT patients on Reddit that were told to take all sorts of useless shit because their surgeon didn’t want to tell them they should take risky meds for life if they want a HT and as a result see a lot of their potential customers put off by the idea that HTs aren’t actually a magical permanent fix for hair loss.

When I noticed my hair was getting really thin on top, I shaved it all off that same day just to understand how I would look being bold. After getting used to the change, I actually loved it. Now I let my hair grow out again and I'm not scared at all anymore for the hair loss. Even if you still have quite some hair but its reclining, think about shaving it. It was a massive relief for me. Sidenote: Somehow the reclining slowed down massively. The only thing I can think of that changed is reduction of stress, I never resorted to specialised products.

My attitude to this is exactly the same as women and makeup. Its the same issue. Societal beauty standards are so high and we are forced to feel insecure and to rhino these normal bodily things are unnatural when they are. When we fear these natural processes that causes frustration and vulnerability making us open to influence. This influence is typically to buy a product whether it does anything or not.

I’m 36, I am very slowly going bald , have been for over ten years. It’s thin but not noticable unless it’s wet. I got my hairline done 5 years ago because it was receding. Wish I didn’t now, as I won’t touch medication. My hairline is starting to thin unnaturally and My crown is starting to thin slowly now too so I’m going to end up looking like zinadine zidane. I won’t go back for another one. I’m going to brave the shave maybe next year. I try to warn people off hair transplants now when they ask me due to them not actually working. Sometimes medications don’t work for people either so if you end up having one and they don’t work , you end up looking like a science project.

Just the other day I had a friend express concern about his hairline and was worried that he's balding. He proceeded to show me and sure enough it was just sharpening/maturing and I explained to him that that's just what happens as you age and that it doesn’t mean you're going bald. I showed him that I have the same thing and we both have full heads of hair. Really messed up how these companies are taking advantage of guys with perfectly fine hair/hairlines and preying on their insecurities for profit.

Many clinics are drawing such unnatural hairlines … it’s crazy 😅 When I was considering a hair transplant 15 years ago, a doctor showed me my „new hairline“ at my first appointment and it was lower than my original hairline which I had in my teenager years. I later went to an hairline expert and he couldn’t believe it when I showed him the photos 😅 The round line didn’t even match my slim face. Glad I never did a hair transplant.

So many issues to tackle it's an uphill battle that seems Never ending...

@@Baldcafe I forgot to mention (my original point) that mainly men will focus on the internal aspect like: diet, supplements, topical ointments, etc...
