In this podcast we will be exploring the training principles of "Balance" and "Take Your Time". This podcast will highlight how important it is to have the correct mental attitude while practicing, not only to perform the form and movements correctly, but also to develop the connection between the body, mind and spirit. With Balance the importance of developing leg strength through low stance, how to generate power from a good position and maintain good posture are discussed. Also one popular concept today is "Mindfulness" and martial arts training not only prepares the body for self defense it also builds this capacity of Mindfulness or awareness. The cultivation of Mindfulness emerges from practicing form with the principle Take Your Time. Do not rush the movements, concentrate on each complete motion.
