I bought the same module. All fifteen batteries showed 22.8V. I connected one to my 24V trolling motor. It worked great! I then connected the battery to a 24V, 20A charger and got the battery voltage up to 23.1V. I look forward to your future videos on these batteries.

Thanks! These seem to be awesome batteries. I wired 2 in series and ran a 10,000 btu air conditioner for 2 hours. I didnt charge them after the teardown and got about 2kwh from them

You got lucky! They sold out very quickly and were a challenge to purchase. The next video will be uploaded as soon as I get the BMS's in and wire them up.

@@diyrenewableenergyelectron4996 Looking forward to that video! Did you order Daly BMSes for the large pack? And what amperage did you go with? I need to figure out what BMS I'll use for my config with how many amps I expect to pull. I've also been checking battery stock every day in case more come available.

I'm actually going with ANT-BMS's. They have a 320 amp version and they are Bluetooth capable. I couldn't find Daly BMS's for a 14S LiFePO4 battery and didnt want to risk buying a 15S to see if it would work.
@@diyrenewableenergyelectron4996 Awesome, thanks! I'll order one to give it a try. I saw that Will Prouse did a video on the ANT BMS, which I'd recommend checking out (if you haven't seen it): kzbin.info/www/bejne/n56XmJqspNOca68

Thanks for the quality and depth of your video. You mentioned the Daly BMS. I will be building a 30 kWh battery using the LG Chem 120Ah 3.7V cells from Batteryhookup for off-grid solar. Is there a good US supplier of the Daly 14S 58V 100A BMS or do I have to order from China? Thanks, Milton

Thanks for the support! If you go on eBay, there are usually a few listings that are US based. Aside from that I dont know of any US suppliers.

Hello, thanks for your video! on all the bms (also the one you linked in another comment) i find that LiFePO4 is only 8s-16s. i'd like to connect LiFePO4 7s. do you know why all those bms don't "support" that in their product description? while i was trying to figure out the answer, i found your video. Applicable battery: 7S to -16S version : 7-16S Li-ion Battery; 8-16SLifepo4 Battery;8-16S Titanium LTO lithium

I'm actually tinkering with it right now. Not doing a video for it yet but I wired 2 batteries in series and wired that up to a sigineer 3000 w 48v inverter and I got 1.75kwh out of the AC side of the inverter so about 2kwh from the batteries. The efficiency of the inverter is around 88.5%.

Oh, and I forgot to say that I got 2kwh from AS RECEIVED batteries. I tore them out of the module and discharged them. Pretty cool.

Thanks so much for video'ng the insides of the battery. I'm looking to buy a couple. How hard would it be to breakdown into a smaller series? Are there any good spots to attach the leads once done or is soldering the only realistic option?
@diyrenewableenergyelectron49963 жыл бұрын
It is possible to break the batteries down but with the strapping and everything that is already in place it isn’t very feasible. It can be done but would be a pain. Soldering or pop riveting the leads on would work. You would have to watch the pop rivets to be sure they don’t loosen over time and get hot during use. Thanks for watching!

I just picked up a couple of these for a trolling motor as well. For 24v parallel trolling motor max draw is 60A. I'm a little confused if I could use an DALY 8s 24v 100A or do I need to find a 7s. Could anyone help?

An 8S Daly would work fine, just be sure it is for lifepo4 not Li-Ion.

Thanks for the update on the modules! That looks identical pouch cells used in their other battery packs I've seen on ebay. Do you think the BMS is functional if you use it as is and just tap off the main terminal?
@diyrenewableenergyelectron49964 жыл бұрын
I think it is entirely possible that the balancing function works, but the high and low disconnects will not so there needs to be an external safety for that. I may actually try charging one cell to force it out of balance just to see if it will make its way back into balance.

Be careful with the Balance Leads on the bus on top of the batteries. They are "UltraSonic Soldered" but they metal fusing is not too great. If you move the wires too much, they will become loose.
@diyrenewableenergyelectron49964 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the heads up. I put a decent bit of solder on them so hopefully that reinforced the ultrasonic joint.
