Oh yes. Thank you. I follow you 100% on this. Though nothing's written in stone. I ran my one and only marathon (London 2001) is heavily cushioned shoes and finished it, without hurting myself. Then I saw an ad for shoes with springs in them (Nike again?) and I asked myself: do we really need this? What if there were no shoes? Wouldn't I be able to run? What if I couldn't afford shoes, like so many that still can't? So I started experimenting with barefoot running and it took me even more than wto years to make the transition. And now I run barefoot regularly, but I have my limits (unlike Ken Bob Saxton). Gravel. Some trails. I love new pavement and concrete and asphalt, if it's not too hot. And I would like to try Wimbledon grass, which of course I will never have the chance to. A wet beach is also heaven. Running barefoot in the rain ... And most of my shoes are not even running shoes anymore: Saucony Bullet, Nike Oregon waffle racer, Puma H-street (the Pose runners are right, there). But I didn't see shoes, foot landing and barefoot running in the whole movement of my body, until you explained this in your videos. You really make me run better.

I went to a zero drop shoe and dropped an entire minute per mile off 5 mile run. I looked down at my Garmin and could not believe how comfortable the speed was. Even though I could not maintain it I went down another minute and a half, a speed I had never reached before even in sprints. Yes this was my second run in these shoes but I believe these shoes are going to change the way I run and race forever. Thanks so much for all you share of your knowledge- it is inspiring.

That's great, Keith! Just bear in mind that you should make your transition gradual, and be sure to transition to minimalist shoes for everyday wear 100% of the time BEFORE you make a full transition to minimalist running shoes. Meanwhile you can switch off between minimalist and non-minimalist to vary the demands on your body and give yourself time to adapt.

Happy to see you again healthy and trying to keep us running properly and healthy. I remember the course I did with you in Wapping, London. Now I weigh 90 kg and I have already lost 12 kg. and my height is 175 mm. so it should weigh around 78 kg. More or less. I have tried to run again but without much success. I usually wear running or walking shoes from Xero Shoes or Luna Sandals or Bedrock Sandals, also Xero shoes saldals, or also Vivobarefoot shoes. Thanks for the video and your information and take good care of yourself.

What about carbon shoes that I've been hearing about recently?

Ugh. That's all I've got to say about them. They will never be the right running shoes for anybody, so be aware of that if you choose to get a pair.

Very interesting! Though I would love to film your running with my special High Speed Camera to capture some of the things that you're describing happening to your feet as you run :)
