I am honestly flabbergasted by all the support this channel and my editing has received these last couple of weeks. I truly cannot thank everyone enough. It means the world because editing is just such a fun lil passion of mine!

In my last video, I mentioned that I was doing a special 1k subscribers video and that I was so excited about it - all of that was true, but it is becoming SO epic, that it's taking a bit longer than expected. Tbh, I like Lady Featherington. I didn't at first cause she looked too hard on her daughters and niece, and you know, cause we are 21st century people and she isn't, but I do believe she's just on a tightrope with her girls. There's no man to support the family and that was not good back then. Their position on society is vulnerable considering they don't have as much money and are on the verge of losing everything. She thinks she's doing the best for her daughters when she dresses them wrong, but idk if she ever learnt how to dress properly, considering they are new rich. Even with Marine, the reality was hard for her. As cruel as she was, she said the truth and tried to solve her problem. It's not like she's a wonderful person, but I can definitely empathize with her

She is definitely realistic when it comes to relationships of that time. Love is not what puts food on the table. So she had to make sure her children and Marina at least have food on the table or a comfortable life.

These people (Violet, Portia and Lady Danbury) have been portrayed as people with their own powerful characters and opinions, yet their tenderness and the weight on their shoulders was shown beautifully. my favorite song that barlow&bear have released so far! I just wished there were less of the short and sudden cuts. many parts would have been more effective if they were allowed to linger with the flow of the song, like Violet's half-empty bed matched with the lyrics 'Edmund are you there'. the interspersed dialogue were perfect though imo

Ok here me out, so from the start up to "edmund are you there i was unaware etc ..." Violet Bridgeton sings with Daphnie Bridgeton infront of her looking upset but she is frozen in time, then whilst Violet is humming just before the Edmund part lady Danbury and lady featherington walk on either side of her with Simon and Penelopie infront of them in the same sort of way daphnie is and featherington joins in first with the first "balancing the scales, I did the best I could but still I have failed etc.." then on the 2nd "balancing the scales want them to see the world bit ill always care etc..." thats when lady Danbury joins in and they all harmonise whilst the other mothers walk on to the stage for the last and softest "balancing the scales all my job entails all the way to the end" Sorry its long but I couldn't stop thinking about it! 😭
