Thank you guys!!! I am curious if you guys can do a video float with Zhiyun crane 3s ??? Please
@digitalfeast3 жыл бұрын
Well we don't own any Zhiyun products but it can be done! I've seen people pull it off on the tilta float Facebook page. You would just mount it directly to the float in place of the RS2 mount. Then you would just use the pendulum on the bottom instead of the V-mount/Gold-mount plate. Hope this helps!

Hi Guys. Thank you for the tutorial. Was wondering about the batterypack up and down adjustment. Your float was returning fairly fast to the middle position when rotating. In the Tilta instruction video that movement is super slow - any plusside in having it return faster? Would be great to see the belt adjustments and general movement tips in your next video - thank you 😊
@VeePull3 жыл бұрын
It's actually supposed to return to the middle within 1-2 seconds. The way they showed it in the video was not ideal balance. Having it too fast would result in left/right movement while doing the throw test. I too am trying to figure out how to get the speed ideal. It seems like moving the power base plate is the key to slowing/speeding the return.

James, We have perfected the balancing strategy with the float. We had to modify the float to make it easier to balance. We have an upcoming show and will go over all the changes to the rig and how we get it balanced quickly. We have used the Float on at least 60+ shoots, it is a work horse for us and we love the video we capture with the float.

Great videos thanks guys, can you give me a link to the cart you use, I’ve been after a stable cart for a while and yours looks perfect.
@digitalfeast2 жыл бұрын
Ive, We have heavily modified our carts. The biggest modifications are a Tilta float mount and pneumatic tires to soften the ride for the equipment. We have a show coming up very soon on the the carts. It is definitely a strategy and it does not have to cost a lot either.

Great Question, We have been using the Float for about a year now. It is our primary B-roll tool. If we are not on a tripod, we are using the float. It is a work horse for our studio. look for some of our upcoming videos, you will see the float being used in many different types of shoots.

It is still out of stock for V-mount batteries but it is available in Gold mount! So if you haven't committed to a battery type yet you should pick one up!

Great video guys… being a recent Tilta Float owner would you guys prefer balancing the float vertical or horizontal. I know you said horizontal but have a difficult time balancing the Roll Motor. Getting a lot of shaky footage Running the bmpcc6k & sigma 1835.Very frustrating I tried almost everything from counterweights, 1 or 2 v mounts batteries.

I'm curious, why didn't you just balance the gimbal off the float?

I can balance it off the float. Snap it on. And it's perfectly balanced how yours was even though you did it on the float. I just wanna know your theory behind it so I can better understand the decision

Hmm. But this kind of balance is wrong. Look how to balance Arri Trinity. You have many weight on bottom (when you turn stabilizer to left or right it will return to center very fast. When you running with stabiliser it will be wobble.

Why would you want to use a gimbal like that at 70mm? Use a different lens.
@ScarmackProductions3 жыл бұрын
Many reason. Can't be close to your subject, more background compression, more subject separation, 85 is the perfect portrait length so most say, so 70 is pretty darn close to that. I always fly a 24-70 on mine and constantly go from 24 to 70 all the time to get multiple shots/angles/looks and it doesn't affect the gimbal at all balanced at 45-50.
@frontfoot10353 жыл бұрын
@@ScarmackProductions 85 is great portrait lens but not for gimbal work

@@frontfoot1035 Well I guess that's where we disagree. I've used my 135 on my Gimbal with great results (IMO). But to each their own. Merry Christmas
