In the video it looks like you use the 3" 15mm rod with 1/4-20 screw. One of the links is an ebay link to 2" ones. Does it matter if we use the 1", 2", or 3" rod for this part of the build? ty again for all your valuable time and help

Hi again! Thank you for your help before :) If I may, I hope you can help answer another question.. What’s your best advice on transporting the Float out to a shoot location? I was thinking of pre-balancing at home, and then put the pole in a long light stand bag, and then re-balance on arrival. It seems like it’s impossible to use the Float bag with the battery mod, right? What’s your approach? :) (and, if I may ask, how long is the pole when it’s fully balanced? Without camera (Wow, sounds too much like a dirty question… 😂))

Thanks for the video and the parts list! Do you know an alternativefor the part Movo CAB1000. Actually it's very difficult to get this in europe. Thanks!
@camerariggingmods96672 жыл бұрын
There is many somewhat alternatives. This one in particular has half 15 mm hole cut, so one of those rods can slide out and stop on that cut. You can use something else there's plenty of similar options that will work. Try looking for 15 mm rod clamp and look around and make sure you find something with the ability to attach two screws to it so there's no twist potential

Hey! I love your videos, they're super helpful. I'm planning on buying a Float today and I'm trying to find the parts for your battery mod. Is it something you've changed with your battery mod that you use today, that you recommend me to change as well before I order? :) I saw the video where you removed the "Nitze 15 mm rod with 1/4-20 screw", but apart from that? (I think I need it less wide, like this version) Big thank you! Mikael
@camerariggingmods966711 ай бұрын
If you want to keep it slim you will require the 15mm Nitze or similar rods but to be honest it's not that wide without them neither. But to be safe I would go with slim option that way you can try both worlds. But personally I prefer wide option. I feel like it adds more stability and it's way more durable because it has less parts.

@@camerariggingmods9667 Actually, may I ask you another question. On the wide mod, what size are the carbon fiber rods that are attached to the battery v-lock plates? I know the slim mod is 4 inches/10 cm. Is it 5 inches? Thank you!

First, thank you so much for making this video and sharing it. I was curious when the non-rotating 15mm rod hits the metal plate when camera goes from low to high (e.g. when you go from javelin to high camera), does that cause a tiny bump/shake in the rig?
@camerariggingmods9667 Жыл бұрын
It's not going to hit unless you go almost 360 and you never going to do that. So no worries it will be ok.
@Kalashnikow422 жыл бұрын
Wouldn't it make sense, to take two of the wormdrive sliders mounted together in a 90° angle? So you have the full flexibility of both axes.
@camerariggingmods96672 жыл бұрын
Not quite sure what do you mean buddy?
@Kalashnikow422 жыл бұрын
@@camerariggingmods9667 When you buy the float you have the X, what you mount on the bottom of the pole and where you mount the battery plate on (in original way, no mod). Replacing this with two of the worm drives would give you a more easy way to adjost the balancing, or?

Would you ever mount the battery plates horizontally (if currently one calls them vertical) to save a couple inches in the total rig height? or would that not work

@kecknmj3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the dumb question, but what benefits do you get from using the pendulum?
@camerariggingmods96673 жыл бұрын
So if you ever seen Arri Trinity it has pendulum. What it does it helps you balance the rig to stay in vertical or horizontal position with nice 4-5 second drop in between. With out it you can only balance the system to stay in one place. So if you balance it to be in horizontal you will have to fight the post entire time you in the vertical. And that's how the shots get ruined. Because you can't just turn the post nice and easy you will have to hold it hard with out Pendulum.

I have a question is this setup and configuration Now days steel the same Or did you change somethings or improved ? Because i have the standard Tilta vmount plate its clearly impossible to balance it Can this product save your ass or do you need to build the one that you use Tilta Float System Bottom Counterweight Bracket Thanks
@camerariggingmods9667 Жыл бұрын
Tilta Float is designed to be an advanced Gimbal support and extension. It's not designed to be an Arri Trinity or a Steadicam, with that said yes this modifications with help you balance it much better and give you ability to control it with precision. I haven't changed anything on it but the rods in the middle are optional depends on your build.

Question for this though, what's the purpose of this? I saw an explanation to someone else but I didn't quite understand it... Could you maybe do a short on it?

Thank you brother. What it does it puts the weight on your shoulders and not so much on your back. It helps the belt from shifting so your arm doesn't change the angle.
