Do a THICC deck challenge. Here's how it works- the only Jokers, Tarots, Spectral cards you're allowed to use ADD playing cards* to your deck. Also judgment and wraith, as a way of trying to get those jokers. You can use as many planet cards or celestial packs as you want. The short and sweet version- Jokers allowed- DNA, Certificate, Marble Joker Tarots allowed- Judgment, if it spawns a legally allowed joker. Sell all disallowed. Spectrals allowed- Grim, Familiar, Incantation, Cryptid, as they either add, or add more than they destroy. Wraith to try to get DNA. Celestial packs/ planet cards- no restriction Standard packs- no restriction Skip tags- as long as you don't keep any illegal jokers it gives you or use any of the illegal consumables, no restriction on skippa Vouchers- no restriction Hologram for obvious reasons would be amazing in this run, but it is sadly not a joker that spawns playing cards, so it is illegal. I believe the run is winnable, but without any way of destroying cards and needing to rely on planets and good hands, is quite RNG heavy. If you can win jokerless you should be able to win this. I imagine it could fill a stream with content.

If you open a booster that actually has something worth taking then you just grab it, but a decent amount of time your packs are kind of worthless and 3 mult is better. I frequently grab it and win with it at gold stake. Git gud I guess?

i just had an 8 ball run yesterday with blueprint, hanging chad, 8 ball, lucky cat, and multiple lucky red seal 8s. it's a rare one, but insanely fun getting 5+ tarot cards every single blind

Matador, if it shows up in the right spot early with the right boss blinds, can be an insanely powerful economy jumpstarter. But it’s still mostly a bad joker that is also bugged

Not bugged, you get 8 dollars for every HAND you play, not every card in your hand that activates the blind, it's every HAND that activates the blind

The only blinds it does work with are Suit-debuffing Blinds, The Plant, The Pillar, The Flint or The Eye, The Mouth, or the Psychic, if hand is a non-scoring hand or The Arm, if played hand's level could be decreased (when it is level 2 or higher) or The Ox, if hand sets money to zero (The Ox sets the money to zero, THEN triggers Matador's effect, allowing you to keep the money earned, provided you don't trigger it again) or The Verdant Leaf, if no Joker has been sold yet. So out of 30 blinds only 11 work (36%) and 4 of those 11 have things you have to have for them to work. So you only guarantee that 7 of the 30 (23%) boss blinds will always work. Which isnt worth it when there are way better econ joker that work the whole game instead of only sometimes on the boss blind

@@anida_boi I feel it's not underrated as it is VERY situational to burn an entire joker slot on when mail-in rebate is a common joker and is one of the best econ jokers you can get early game. If I see a matador and its one of the suit debuffs and I'm desperate for money, then sure. but 9/10 im selling it for something better the next blind because it will do nothing on most other boss blinds.

In defense of Red Card, the effect is not the best but at least it can scale. Literally just the default Joker only gives +4 Mult while Red Card gives +3 (Scaling).

​@blackjacktrial See that's just the thing, you don't need deck fixing solutions after running into baron, you could have them beforehand Simply by knowing baron exists, you know there's a joker out there that incentivizes you to hold kings in your hand, so what's a great way to synergies off that with? Use Steel on your Kings more often than any other suit. By steeling your kings you are SETTING YOURSELF UP ahead of time in case you DO run into the baron card Luck and skill are absolutely related

How is 2x + 20 for venus ever worth more than a 3x? Am I stupid? Level 1 trips with queens is 30x3 base, plus 30 for the queens = 120. One venus only makes that 280. A single skipped pack would make a level one triple queen worth 360. And every subsequent skipped venus would be even more valuable. Is this why people think red card is bad or am I missing something?

I think the people who call red card the worst joker do so because most of their runs build alot around cards which makes skipping packs hard to justify or they're just insanely lucky with their packs. You can get up to +6 mult permanently PER ROUND which is +36 mult in just 2 antes, combine that with jokers that give chips and jokers that multiply the mult you have a very solid run. So how can you call it THE worst when it's a build up card that requires attention.

Showman is one of the best jokers in the game. While it doesn't do anything on its own, if it's bought alongside busted jokers that are carrying you for now it allows you to get even more copies of said busted jokers.

With ghost joker, you make sure you only have jokers you'd be happy to duplicate when you sell it. That can be tricky if you can't afford to lose your weaker jokers when you sell it, but since you're getting a copy of one of your strong jokers it's usually doable.
