I WAS THERE. During the stream, I was running a comprehensive banned word list on his discord, in the dog hole. literally 1984 (unironically) for refrence to anyone who didn’t read 1984 (although, i highly recommend it because it’s a pretty wacky book) one of the major plot points of 1984 was how words would be taken away over time from the dictionary and were replaced with newspeak for the sake of restricting language/thought… Newspeak was basically baby talk and made it so that instead of words like “confusing/contradictory” there was “double think”, instead of words like “bad” there was “ungood”… so this stream was Doug basically becoming the idea of Big Brother from 1984 truly, one of the most philosophically stimulating and morally profound DougDoug episodes to date
