Ive been a fan for years and when you first played the demo and saw it was free I decided to bug test it Best idea of my life. Now, I am the main bug tester on the discord finding bugs for them to get patched in the future. Most of them are game breaking and some exist today and I wish I could make a documentary video but I dont have the want to create a script and read it out loud and stuff. But back on topic seeing you play this game is awe inspiring for me and Im so glad I have a small influence on something currently millions of people are playing! Hello aliensrock. English is not my first language but I just want to say thank you. Back in february i was in the hospital for a week plus for breaking my ankle and needing a surgery done on it. This video reminded me of watching your balatro streams on playback for like 6hrs one day and i probably watched them every day of the hospital visit. The kept me company, you kept me company. It’s funny, I actually had a run recently on blue stake where I had *also* managed to luck into double burnt joker on Plasma deck. However I went for a hand that might sound insane, and that’s the straight. In the beginning of the run I had actually managed to use trading card to destroy a handful of the edge cards, at some point I had picked up shortcut (lets you have a gap between numbers and still make the straight) and when I found burnt joker I was like “Uhhhhh, are my straights consistent enough to do this?”. I tried it and YEP IT ABSOLUTELY IS. I was easily able to make 2 straights a round even when I was holding onto blue seals (in current patch they’re really good. Gives you a planet card of the last hand you played if you hold it until the end of the round). I eventually managed to find I *think* invisible joker which managed to duplicate burnt joker which made my straight leveling even better! Doing straights was also nice since they give you +30 chips and +3 mult per level, which is actually pretty high, much higher than a lot of the other hands. By the end of the run, with the 2 burnt jokers and 3 blue seals I had added to my deck I had level 52 straights, which gave me +1560 chips and +157 mult! So the moral of this story? Shortcut’s really freaking good lol. It made finding straights easier than it was for tyler to find two pair in this video.

Yes, Shortcut is pretty amazing, I've done that too. I've also used Shortcut+Flowerpot. And you can do Shortcut > straight flushes, if you want to do a straight flushes run.

I discovered Balatro thanks to your videos and I've really enjoyed it from the start. I always thought it was just another niche puzzle game that only few people would actually play (not saying it's bad, it's amazing actually, I'm just saying that sadly this is not a very mainstream genre). That's why I was genuinely surprised when I saw a lot of famous content creators streaming the game for hours and even more shocked when I found out it was nominated for Goty. I really really hope it wins but even if it doesn't it's still undoubtedly the best game this year has offered. Thank you for your content and for helping me discover such incredible games and experiences. I have being watching you for years and I hope I keep watching for many more. I've even considered donating monthly to your Patreon, not just because of the reward, but because I wanna support an exceptional content creator who deserves many more views and subscribers. It has all the crazy synergistic numbers going up like Balatro, plus the autobattler aspect of Meme Mayhem, plus an inventory management like Backpack Hero, plus a pvp element like Super Auto Pets, and plus a highly detailed artstyle similar to HearthStone.
