@@IdolEyes84 I think not more arched if you’re trying to shorten and widen your face. Flatter and lower brows are def better to take some length away from the face. Thicker is right though, and I guess if you want to take some length from the forehead, they might have to be higher too

Aly, you’re the only “beauty” KZbinr that I watch or trust. There are just way too many people out there making videos just to endorse products that they don’t even like, or making videos because they know it’ll get views because the topic they’re talking about is trendy at the time. You actually do your research and explain everything so thoroughly. You are also very kind and sweet. I think you should be a hairdresser and a makeup artist, maybe start your own studio or something! I would totally come to you for my wedding makeup(in who knows how many years) !

Aly! You are amazing ❤️. Could you please make a chart showing the balayage that would be most flattering depending on the 4 combinations of: long vs wide / soft vs sharp? Long + soft // Long + sharp // Wide + soft // Wide + sharp. I am long + soft and trying to understand what would be flattering. I recently got a wig in LA that is pastel pink with dark roots, it’s curly and a bob length and looks great on me. I’m beginning to understand it’s probably due to the combination of the lighter colour, where the highlight starts, the proportion of the “hair area”, and the curl / length. I love you! You are so insightful! Why don't more hairdressers know this! I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I think you could bring out your beautiful earthy green eyes if you kept your original brown hair color and added some baby highlights that would accentuate the tousled look. Also, I think the blonde hair that is shorter than your chin makes your face look even more wide because there's less contrast. You understand that your hair should be short, tousled and more yellow toned, but I think it may be a little too short and you may need a color that will bring you more contrast. This is just my opinion which I think agrees with the stuff you were saying!

I'm an overweight TR with round face, big forehead and small "hair area", and though most likely I'll never get a balayage because I use henna regularly, I've been thinking about getting a blonde wig with some dark roots and this advice helps a lot about what to look for. Probably when people say about "heart shape face" they mean a widow's peak, and it's a problem for haircuts and coloring actually 😅 I have a large widow's peak and the middle of my hair part is bigger than sides. No idea where a color line should be because it always looks weird, same with a haircut. So I gave up and dgaf anymore but now I wonder what you would suggest.
