Its not about it being real of fake ... People who love animals are trying to get away from animal print as a fashion statement even if it is fake because it will (hopefully) end the fur trade. Its more about animals used as fashion even if its fake. I used to love leopard print but it definitely sends the message that animals are fashion. Its a complex issue. not just real vs. Fake

@R. S. it's sad that you are so angry at someone who is trying to send a helpful message. They weren't even aggressive. But I suppose staying ignorant is more comfortable.

@R. S. I'm really not sure I follow what you're saying.. Its all over the place .. And you're so angry ... Why? There's nothing to be angry about lol you don't know me at all ... People used to wear furs to stsy warm in a time period when that was their only option. Thats why we have hunting laws now so species aren't killed off. We evolved and learned.. Why would I respect something wrong like extinction? ... Its something we learned over time not to use animals for their fur when there are better options available now. If we keep wearing animal print how does that make us any better then animals ? Arent we human and can move past simple minded thinking? What country are you from? Im from america and im vegan so I dont get your point.

I‘ve recently cut my hair into a pixie and occasionally wear wigs now, if I want to ‚play dress up‘. It’s fun, and good ones can actually be made to look very convincingly natural. Still looking for any tips and tricks and advice though, obviously 🙂

What a detailed analysis of the balayage techniques! (I can even tell that it almost scares me away a little bit to try it on my own, cause there are so many things to consider, or that you could do wrong...) What I love about your videos is that not only you seem to deeply know the subject that you are covering each time, you can also explain it with such a nice and comprehensive way, that even experts might not be able to do! That's a talent! Question: What about hair texture? My hair are straight and very thin, what do you think would work best?

The best thing to do if you have dark color on your hair that you can't get rid of is to use a color remover first, then bleach and toner right afterwards, before the new color has a chance to oxidize. Personally, I still love the 90s stripes, I dig the high contrast. Balayage always becomes so washed out looking and drab over time. Babylights do the same thing, they start to fade and blend with the base color and there is no contrast.

Change to a Demi Permanent hair color when you are deepening a shadow root. You can get a ZeroLift developer that won't lift your natural color at all. It's also very acidic so it makes your hair shiny and healthy.

I would suggest nothing too big and pompous. More on the delicate, elegant side but it can have small beautiful details. But you shouldn't just look at what "fits your body type", pick one that you love, you have to wear it for a loooong time after all haha

Great video! For mistake #5 with darker coloured roots then lightening over top, you suggest using toner instead of colour as that will not go so deep into the hair. What about if you have grey hair and you need to colour to cover the grey and get a base colour/depth back in the hair. What do you suggest then, as toner doesn't give as much coverage? thank you

I'm getting my hair done next week so this is great stuff! I get why the bleach is purple toned cuz she just does my roots...but now I want to have her pull a warm toner or gloss through the mid-shafts to ends to warm them up and balance the tones. Sometimes after a root touch up I think it looks a bit pale and washed out and now I know why...need warm towards the ends.👍🏻💗 U rock Aly!💗💐

Great video again :D I feel like it's easier and more effortless to do balayage on warm toned people. I had balayage myself (I'm neutral-cool) and my roots needed so much toning it was too much of an upkeep to me (the very blended bits that are not fully saturated with bleach, they turn into an orangy-golden shade on my natural hair color). I prefer to have all of my hair bleached and do a smudge root with semi-permanent color (of course only touching up the roots). When it fades, it usually stays silvery-white by only using silver shampoo once a week. That's way easier to me personally. A friend of mine is a deep autumn, she looks amazing with caramel colored balayage in her natural chocolate brown hair and it still looks amazing even when it grows out and the toner has fully washed out. On me that doesn't look good at all. More ashy, silvery or metallic shades are amazing for my complexion. I can wear slightly warmer tones though, but they always get too warm when the color starts to fade. Not my cup of tea, even though I like the overall look of a freshly done balayage alot.
