I'm a licensed Cosmo and this is by far the best balayage tutorial I've seen. The background music was perfect and your voice was perfect. I could understand everything you said and nothing was distracting from the actual lesson. Very satisfied. I'm going to apply what learned from this to my first client today. Thank you SO much for sharing!

this was the most amazing video I have ever seen! Especially since Ive been dying to learn how to work with Balyage and your tut. was amazingly easy to follow , your voice, your instructions were so simple and right to the point. :)) BUT if I were to change anything .....the music was to loud and distracting. Dont think people should use music when doing tutorials . Thank U thank U ~looking forward to learning more from you.

EXCELLENT!!! As a hairdresser that has not worked since my daughter was born 13 years ago, I still love to do colors...and now I have two of them with GORGEOUS HAIR- (yes, the hairdresser wants kids with nice hair) and the older one wants more of an ombre, so I will do this technique for her...and watch some vids about ombre coloring techniques! I love how you explained things... and I appreciate your time and videos! Melissa

LOVED this video. This is great for gals that don't want all the "dark" in the balayage/ombre....and want a look that is more similar to traditional highlights combined with the balayage/ombre. I liked the tip of using the 20 vol on the back...and the 30 vol on the front.....AND using a non-swelling bleach. A real GEM of a tip was cutting the fingers off a GLOVE, and wearing it on your hand to use as a PADDLE!!! Such a great idea to help saturate those ends with product. THANKS FOR THIS UPLOAD!!!

This was great! About 9 years out of the business but i still retain my license. I was always so ocd about foil placement I could never really visualize the whole balyage technique. This video has a great technique and pattern to follow. Love the "v" placement and using a "non-puffing" bleach makes sense. Now I understand it, thank you!

I am with Laura, I think the music is overpowering your voice, and I guess us older generation hairstylist aren't into that type of music, but I think it's more important to hear what you are saying and not the music in this type of video. That said, I love your balayage tutorial it is one of the best I have seen. You gave me many pointers to use when I balayage. I also was wondering how you could put bleach on the back of your hand and not have it burn you! I like your idea of using the back of your hand instead of the lightening board, I think you can go faster your way.
@blondwiththewind
@blondwiththewind 9 жыл бұрын
+Susan Bissell He mentioned that you can cut the fingers off of a glove, and use that to protect the back of your hand while using it as a "paddle" to saturate those ends. Terrific idea!!! :D

I wanted to watch this but I couldn't bc the music is over powering your voice. Please take that into consideration the next time you are making a video...maybe everyone doesn't like your type of music. I love your videos but I can't handle this one and I really wanted to watch this technique! Sorry! Please remake this one with softer music so I can hear you.

Laura Braley What is your point? Sure the music is a tad too loud, but what does YOUR musical taste has to do with his video? That's right, you can't satisfy everybody.
@laurabraley1907
@laurabraley1907 9 жыл бұрын
Nyhm Why are you trying to start something or be mean? I never said anything about MY type of music. I was giving constructive criticism...I said I loved his videos but the music is too loud and I can't hear his voice. Please reread my first comment and you will see that my point is......I CAN'T HEAR HIM OVER THE MUSIC.
@nyhm2067
@nyhm2067 9 жыл бұрын
Laura Braley I can't see anywhere in my comment where I was trying to be mean. You are right, you never said anything about your type of music, but you did say "maybe everyone doesn't like your type of music". I was simply commenting on what other peoples taste of music has anything to do with it. I would like you to take your own advice and reread your comment.

Thank you so much for the video. I greatly appreciate your paying your knowledge forward. I do agree that music was a bit loud to hear you perfectly. One question on how and why you don't protect hair from bleeding onto other sections. obviously yours doesn't bleed. is that just simply because bleach doesn't swell?
