Ta fougue, ta musicalité, ta façon remarquable de faire sonner ton bel orgue et son exceptionnel Grand Jeu, rappelle mon maître et ami Michel Chapuis. Avec de tels musiciens et superbes personnalités que toi, on ne peut qu'être fier de la grande Ecole d'orgue française. Le Isnard de St Maximin a beaucoup de chance d'avoir un magnifique titulaire comme toi. Merci, cher Emmanuel ! Francois-Henri

I was today in a local-church in a Christmas concert by a local choir. I was pretty sick, had fever 39-Celsius, felt even worse after that really poor choir-singing. But now: when I somehow accidentally found this very playing, The Instrument & Chatedral acoustics - I feel such a BIG Joy & Gratefulness and disease will be soon history. ❤🙏👏

Can you imagine in Balstre's day there were packed churches and riots to get into them to hear his concerts. Very nicely done performance on one of my favourite organs in France. Thanks for sharing and performing!

I read that one year, the authorities of NDP, asked him not to play his Noels at the Christmas concert - they and his improvisations were so popular that the church fathers feared major unrest without and within the cathedral. Before the industrial revolution, large organs were a mechanical and musical marvel.
