Bald Eagle "Challenger" at University of Tennessee - Oct. 23, 2010

Bald Eagle Challenger free flies as the U.S. National Anthem is played during pre-game ceremonies at the UT stadium at a 2010 game with Alabama. The majestic eagle has a perfect flight as crowd cheers! Afterwards, Challenger and Al greet some lucky fans on sidelines. This is a fantastic video - showing Challenger's flight, the UT Band, & a soaring rendition of Rocky Top! One to remember!

I went to the State Fair of Texas a few years ago and went to the out door bird show and at one point in the show they stopped a huge Farris wheel across the fair grounds where there was a bird handler with a Peregrine falcon where they stopped the wheel at the highest point where the falcon would fly out of the Farris wheel across the fair just missing the tops of our heads by inches and land on the arm of the man on stage demonstrating the speed they can fly to catch prey. I completely lost control and cried like a baby knowing that bird was just doing what it had to do to get a little piece of meat the handler was holding and didn't care anything about us. The impact of that bird changed my life that it will never know. People thought I was crazy or stupid for crying but I didn't care. The rest of the fair meant nothing to me. It made me emotional for some reason that day. I see them all the time where I live and I just stop now and watch them as long as I can. Birds are beautiful creatures !!!

I totally agree with you. That was when America was great. I am from Knoxville TN, but live in NC. I would have loved to been at UT to see this beautiful and intelligent bird. Challenger could run this country better than what we have now. And our leader could learn alot about Eagles mentality. That is our national symbol. There is a reason we The Americans have The Super Intelligent Eagle as our symbol. But these leaders has made this country into a joke among other countries and made us very weak and vulnerable. Now Americans all they want to do is kill each other. So sad. And they took God practically out of America. This is unbelievable
