Hello. I was just reading about the beautiful Eagle Challengers life and how his beautiful life was spared by his Guardian Angel man and then he was taken to be trained to be a teacher to all humans big and small, young and old too. It is so wonderful the age he was able to get to and also still be educational too to this day. I want to thank all the humans and also his Guardian Angel human who knew Challenger was and is important to protect. I’m such a huge fan of the Bald Eagle and they are such intelligent creatures and even most of the time smarter then most humans are today too. Challenger is so gorgeous and I’m pleased to know he is in good hands and all I want for him is good health and to continue to be well cared for too. Happy birthday or belated Birthday sweet and such handsome Eagle Challenger and I don’t know you but I do love you always and forever. Hugs and love and so much appreciation towards his handler too. I knew a Eagles nest was large, but my goodness I didn’t know it was that large to hold of human that is one brave man and a hero

I am so very grateful that this incredible rescue was able to happen! This is incredible to see! I have just recently been introduced and now entranced by Jackie & Shadow the eagles in Big Bear California. I live in Southern California. I need to learn more. Apparently I read that only 50% of baby eagles survive and rat poison also attributes to loss of our beautiful eagle’s. I think it’s crime that rat poison is still available and being used when it kills so much wildlife. I don’t even know if any attempt has been made to ban rat poison. Does anyone know anything about that? On a more positive note, it’s beautiful to see ALL the LOVE that went into saving this baby eagle! To the guy that climbed that tree, Thank you! That rope you hauled up seemed to be extremely long! ❤🦅

Very interesting discussion 💯 I would love to hear your take on what has been happening at the Dulles Greenway nest this year. As a quick summary the male of the original pair disappeared and was replaced by a new male. The original female laid 3 eggs but the new male wasn’t helping with incubation and the female eventually gave up. Since then there has been a constant rotation of pairs and some young visitors. I am curious about how whether this has been observed elsewhere and can you comment on norms for empty nests and nest hunting?
