Taking Bald Eagle images is very exciting. Two years ago I went up to Haines Alaska and took photos of eagles feasting on Salmon from the Chilkat River in November. Hundreds of eagles.

What an awesome experience that would be to have a magnificent Bald Eagle perch right next to you! While you were explaining the encounter I was imagining myself sitting there talking to it, like I do to various little passerine and waterbirds I photograph. I went on an Alaskan cruise a couple of years ago, managed to get some Bald Eagle shots but as usual on tours the light is never good. Had a fantastic time, got shots of Humpback Whales bubble feeding at Icy Strait Point. I nearly cried in Juneau when on the bus to Mendenhall Glacier and we went past the tidal flood plain, there were at least 50 Bald Eagles perching on various logs in the basin! Need to get back there and see more of that amazing country some day. Been enjoying your videos Cameron, +1 subscriber.

when i can go on one big trip I go to the Conowingo Dam to capture hundreds of eagles in Northeastern Maryland on the Susquehanna River. All the worlds best photographers show up there from October thru December to record and photograph the spectacle. the photographers numbering in the hundreds just like the eagles. It is well worth the trip.

I have a Nikon D 7000 full frame camera. This July I will be going to Alaska this year 2023 somewhere by homer. Would you suggest a good lens or lenses for me to take up there for taking pictures of eagles and maybe some moose. By the way, I will have to rent these lenses. For me personally, I'd rather find wildlife that isn't drawn in from the activity of humans. I'd have to find somewhere that doesn't have the human element to it. Knowing that the halibut are there because of fisherman kind of takes something away from it for me.

really like your channel. you had mentioned telling you what we'd like to see you add in your videos. I would like to have a future trip to Alaska over the next years, and you live there, I'm also a photographer - doing it as a hobby. Could you add videos that answer these things, & have info about where you'd suggest visiting to see Eagles? Bears? Whales? or other wildlife to photograph. I think that would be great. Also, is it better to fly into one town, or do a cruise to certain ports & do the half day or day trips out to see wildlife? Once the pandemic is over that is. :-D Thanks!
