In the Tau we see Humanity's past, the Human Federation that predated the Imperium expanded in similar form, made allies of races who were receptive and subjugated the ones who were not. It was only the Eldar Empire, decadent but yet unfallen, stood in it's way - as the Imperium now does to the Tau - and eventually, even that mighty entity found itself falling back toward the end. Of course, we know the Human Federation was not to last. All it took was one great disaster to turn all its hope and reason to madness and despair. How closely will history repeat this time? Well, we shall see. Soon.

It would be cool to see the story reach that point where we actually can find out, but because of the nature of the franchise, the imperium will never be shown as fracturing like the Eldar empire did, even if Human are dying by the hundreds of trillions every second, the story "somehow" will always barely keep them hanging on. There may only be war in the future, but at GW, there is only the pursuit of profit.

I love this. I love seeing the Tau constantly introduced to the many horrors in the galaxy and slowly realizing the reason the imperium is the way it is even though greatly misguided. The death guard is only 1, 1 of the many great chaos space marine legions and the tau is struggling. While Cadia held them all back 12 times before giving in. Tau got a lot to learn.

Lord Admiral Spire Imperium is living of the whatever was left of the legacy of Dark age of technology. Tau still didn't lose the spark of innovation unlike the mechanicum if anything Tau is sort of repeats the path of early humanity but things are just a lot worse. If Eldars were unified humans are not, if Eldars were simply decadent and dismissive humans are militants and xenophobic. It's a test of ideology for Tau how far can they push it.

Structurally flawed, nascent state crumbling under vicious attacks and buying time only for high price in space and lives, carrying on only by way of their own immensity. They have weapons and whole lot of them, but on the whole lack sophistication or coordination in use. They are plugging one leak after another.

I actually like the Tau a lot. People complain that they don't match the style and atmosphere of the 40k universe but I like that they don't. They're their own unique faction and culture. They rose up in near complete ignorance of all the other major races, so they should look completely different. I even like their ”Gundam” aesthetic. Its exactly the kind of clean, efficient, futuristic look that you'd expect from a young, naive, and optimistic race that had never encountered Orks, or daemons, or the like. Personally I'm excited to see how their aesthetic changes as they become more acquainted with the grimdark reality of the greater galaxy.

I really like the Tau, they represent a great contrast to all the grimness, that to me only enhances the overall feeling of endless war and terror that brings. I like their lore and Sisters Of Battle Lore. Also it's funny how Tau fighting comes closest to modern day Fighting tactics and strategies, like somehow they represent modern day earth warfighting more so than the others which seem closer to WW2 era fighting.

Well the Imperial Guard fight in mostly modern day style of warfare except for some primitive regiment. Tau vs IG is the least deadly and brutal conflict in the entirety of 40k with soldiers from both sides mostly engage in fire fight hit , hit and run , ambush or tank battle not brutal melee death pit

@Lord Admiral Spire well yeah IG do wreck Tau in melee but in general IG vs Tau is a shooty fight and is the least brutal and have rather light casualties when compare to others , basically modern combat in space. An examples is Tauros campaign IG and Tau on a planet scale war both sides only suffered less than 100000 men killed or wounded and only a few hundreds tank and vehicles lost .

The Tau are a minor problem to the Imperium of Man but if Roboute Guilliman wanted to have some fun he could sit down with the Tau leadership and make a deal with them. The entire Imperium will submit to the greater good so long as the Tau Empire can defeat Chaos. He could point them to the closest warp rift and say have at it. Tau would probably fall for it.

The Tau are already on the fifth sphere of their expansion, they have encountered every single race multiple times and unlike other races, they incorporate the lessons into their training. Hey there fellow Gue'la storyteller I must say that despite being an impregnable T'au player, I'm a 40k fan first and you bring this spectacular universe to life with such an epic tone and such talent that i just spent 2 day listening to your videos. I wanted to share with about a thing that bother me in the lores. I don't know why but recently when I hear about T'au lore, or stories of battle incorporating tau forces it's kinda ring the same :" and then we just had to go in close combat ... the end " I find it unfair since even the newest player knows that it took more than a snap just to arrive in range of charge of a tau line without heavy loses. My point is Tau can be outgun too and even though we don't stand many chance in CC it's not the only way to wipe out an entire squad. I'm also frustrated by the fact that the only fighting methods of Tau are just ambushes and retreat like Tau forces are only gerilleros, and that we sustain heavy loses. No I want to hear about a full army fleeing and butchered by a storm of fire of fire warriors charging forward into them. Many will disagree with me and that ok. Because maybe I just don't play Tau like their expected to be, in static defenses. Or maybe i just want to find a story sharing aspect of my experience as a Tau player. Sorry for the long comment and the many (hope not) English mistakes it's not my mothertongue

Lorex that’s only been this last month. We were tiny fir about 6 months. Slowly improving day by day, led by this great community. @@Baldermort Id give a bold prediction 1 mil sub by this time next year . 40k have lots of casual fans like myself, especially people who know 40k by the video games and never really got deep in to the lore . But i did got deep in to the lore i have read hours after hours , and still didn't know so much . Your videos fill me on the blanks i have missed and its such format ,that i must say fits 40k the best .And i enjoy it so much, probably gonna replay pretty much every 40k game i have played and enjoyed .May even finally get in to the table top .
