It's sad that Playtime is actually a little disabled since it is confirmed that she has poor eyesight yet she has no glasses or contact lenses (unless those scribbly things are, but I think they're symbolic) and she really just wants to play with someone and nothing else. I think she is bullied because of her poor eyesight and she bumps into things while people laugh at her, but when she sees you she thought you'd be nice and maybe you could become her friend, instead because you are so bent on winning the game you upset her instead and cut her rope, one of the only objects that make her happy. I dunno, but it's a nice thought, but personally I think that scissor option is rather cruel.

I think the saddest part about associating this part of the song Her with Playtime are the words, “no matter what you say or what you do, when I’m alone, I’d rather be with you”. Playtime always comes back to you, even if you cut her jump rope, her signature object and possibly only toy. Your character is literally the only person she considers her friend, and that’s what makes her always pestering you about playing so heartbreaking. Theory, playtime is an innocent girl that loves to play jump rope with everyone around the school, player comes along and playtime wants to play some jump rope with them, but player mentally abuses playtime by insulting her and calling her annoying and physically by cutting her jumprope which tears her apart thus making her sad. jesus christ at first i really didnt like this game and Playtime like... gave me nightmares lowkey but..
